Mangahigh Rockstar Challenge

We were very fortunate to have 4 senior school students win awards for the Mangahigh Rockstar Challenge! All students took part in the challenge which allows them to practice and master a variety of Math concepts. Congratulations to 3rd Place: Owen, 2nd Place: Anouar & Alistair 1st Place: Liam! Well done.

Christmas Lunch On Monday we had our whole school Christmas Lunch. We honestly don’t know how our Parents and Friends group have done it, but they managed to cater a whole school Christmas lunch for 132 people. The food was simply amazing, all the students loved every bit of it. If things couldn’t get better after having a great meal and fabulous dessert, we were treated to a visit from Santa on the football oval. A massive thank you to our Parents and Friends for organising the lunch, they have done a tremendous job not just with this function, but all year raising money to make the school a better place for our students. At the conclusion of our Christmas Lunch we quickly transformed the football rooms, packing away all the tables and chairs for our final assembly for the year to present our school awards. All award winners were very deserving and we would also like to thank all the people and community groups that donated the awards. The award winners were as followed:

Rotary award for excellence donated by Foster Rotary was won by Tom Vuillermin

Kindness award donated by Pam Seuren was won by Maya Hayward-Bannister

Principals award donated by Mr Banks was won by Lily-Ann Bright

S.T.E.M. award donated by South Gippsland Radiology was won by Tom Taylor

Anne Bright Art award donated by Rick Bright was won by Gretta Paul

Leadership award donated by South Gippsland Shire was won by Josh Gale

Lance Moon award for most improved donated by the Moon family was won by Grace Wilson

Today our Grade 6 students also received a parting gift of a dictionary from our Parents and Friends group, to help them with their future studies and a tree donated from Bunnings in Wonthaggi to symbolise their transition into secondary college.
