SUMMER PLACEMENTS 2012-13

In its Golden Jubilee year, students of IIFT’s flagship

full-time MBA (International Business) program

wrapped up the recruitment for the summer internship

process with a stellar performance. The summer

internship process saw an unprecedented show in terms

of companies visiting the campus and the number of

offers given by them.

Students from diverse backgrounds and qualifications

are a part of the 2014 batch. The class of 2014 has a

total strength of 203 students with close to 70% of

them having a prior work experience in various fields

like Manufacturing, BFSI, Market Research, IT,

Consulting, Accounting etc.

FUNCTION WISE DRILL DOWN

Around 40% of the batch preferred roles in the area of

sales and marketing. Finance, Consulting & Strategy were

equally preferred with 15% of the students opting for

each of them. Operations, IT/ITES, and Trade &

International Business rounded off the preferences for the

rest of the students.

SECTORAL DRILL DOWN

The class of 2014 saw diverse sector offerings for

summer internships. BFSI sector was the most preferred

choice followed by FMCG and Manufacturing. In terms of

total offers, Pharma & Healthcare and e-commerce

sectors saw unprecedented improvement over last year.

the batch of 2014 is as follows.
