Summer @ Your Library finale week
(STILLWATER, OKLA. / July 16, 2013) After 12,390 hours of reading, 21
performances, over 1200 minutes of film time, 1384 bags of popcorn and 560 teen craftprojects, Summer@ Your Library winds itself down with one last week of live
performances and reading club activities.
On Tuesday, July 23, Steve Smith shares his zany character Professor B. Looney who
will delight children with balloon masterpieces. The Professor performs at 10 a.m., 1:30
p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, July 24, all reading club members should turn in the last of their reading
logs and reading cards. For children, logs must be turned in by Noon to be invited toThursdays Award Ceremonies and to be eligible for the end of summer drawings.
Young adults may bring their reading cards with them to the Teen Summer Finale at 2
p.m. Readers in grades 6-12 will enjoy a pizza party and dessert extravaganza. Duringthe feast, librarian Scott Freeman will preview buzzworthy young adult books and
movies coming out in the fall. After the celebration, Freeman will draw two readers who
will each win a Kindle Fire, then draw for several additional prizes.
On Thursday, July 25, children will receive recognition for their summer reading at an
invitation only Awards Ceremony. Ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. for readers
with last names starting with A-L and at 1:30 p.m. for readers with last names beginningwith M-Z.
At the ceremonies, kids will meet and get photos with costume characters, receivereading certificates and enjoy an exclusive performance by 3 Point Karate. The event
will end with drawings for prizes, including the grand mystery prize.

The summer officially ends Friday, July 26, with a pizza party for the 36 teen volunteers
who spent time signing up children for the summer program. The pizza party begins at
12:30 p.m.
