    side-by-side playing which gives younger students an opportunity to gain hands on

    experience while performing next to older, more seasoned musicians. Our seasonedmusicians will have the opportunity to work with expert teachers, to achieve a new level of

    playing, develop a passion for their repertoire, and develop leadership skills to be used in their

    own orchestra. This program will give students tremendous inspiration and condence whilelearning challenging repertoire. Students will be given the tools to rise to their highest

    musical ability. Professional teaching artists will hold daily sectionals.

    Plant the seed of music as we explore the joys of listening,singing, and moving to music. Interact wi th your child one-

    on-one or bring the whole family. Students will engage in age

    appropriate games and activities that encourage positive socialinteraction. We will provide a nurturing environment for your

    child to develop healthy motor movement and language skills.

    Calling all youth singers! This camp is for youth singers who want to develop their singing abilities. Students will be divided by

    grade into two groups. Camp participants will attend daily vocal warm-up sessions, divided choir rehearsals, and master classes.

    All campers will join together daily for combined choir sessions that will include an interactive singing experience with onesession led by guest teaching artist, Ellen Winters.

    Prelude Singers Grades:Entering 5K-3Students will sing in unison and two part, learn basic choreography, play singing games, and sing songs of different cultures.

    Master Classes include Jazz Call and Response, Make an Instrument, Sing/Play-a-long!, Drumming/Creative Music Ensemble.Concert Singers Grades: Entering 4-8Students will sing in 2-3 parts and explore the basics of Show Choir. Participants will learn a pop song and work with a

    choreographer during the week. Three students will have the opportunity to sing a solo for the Pop Singing master class.Please mention interest upon registration. Master classes inc lude Jazz Singing Techniques, Show Choir Choreography, Pop

    Singing/ Microphone Technique, and Solo Performing.

    Registration Deadline Thursday, June 16This six week workshop will concentrate on the fundamentals of

    landscape painting while exploring the beauty of the Southern KettleMoraine. Learn outdoor painting techniques required in capturing

    the shifting light and color of the outdoors. Working in small-to mid-

    size format, paint several eld studies with a focus on composition,

    value, color, and cohesion of the major masses. A portion of theinstruction will take place in the studio with an emphasis on reningeld studies or developing a larger work. This class is for students

    with current painting experience, but familiarity with outdoor

    The E&I Fund is a self-sustaining fund independent of theSchauer Centers operating budget.     Deadline for Registration:It is suggested that studentsregister at least two weeks prior to the start date for anygiven program. A deadline of one week must be adhered to.Enrollment levels are evaluated at this time and class will becancelled if minimum enrollment isnt met.

    Multiple Class/Sibling Discount: If registering formore than one class or enrolling more than one familymember in a session, you are eligible for a 10% discount.Participants must pay the FULL tuition fee for the class withthe highest tuition and are entitled to a 10% discount onadditional tuitions. One-day workshops under $40 are NOTsubject to 10% multiple class/sibling discounts.

    Registration Fee: A registration fee of $10 per student,per semester applies when enrolling in CSA programs14 days prior to programs start date. A $15 LATEregistration fee per student, per semester applies whenenrolling less than 14 days prior to programs start date.Registration fee does not apply for programs with a tuitionfee of $40 or less. Maximum of four registration fees perfamily during any given semester. This fee is non-refundableexcept in cases where the class is cancelled. Friends of theSchauer Center are exempt from registration fees.

    NEW! Residents living within the boundaries of the WestBend School District are also exempt from a registration feedue to support from the West Bend Community Foundation.

    Refund Policy: Notication of withdrawal and request forrefunds must be submitted in writing to the Schauer Center.A 50% refund of the tuition in the form of a gift certicate will bein effect through the second class/rehearsal. After the secondclass, NO REFUNDS will be offered.

    Class Size:All CSA classes carry a minimum/maximum classsize that determines if the class will be offered. Classes notmeeting the minimum will not be offered. Maximum levels aredetermined by classroom space or instructor/student ratios.

    Payment Plans: Payment plans may be arranged withthe Schauer Center for any class with a tuition fee of $100or more. However, a minimum of 1/4 of the tuition feemust be paid prior to the star t of the rst class/rehearsal.Payment plans must be paid with a credit or debit card, and anarrangement application must be completed and turned intothe Schauer Center prior to the rst day of class.

    Tuition Assistance: Financial assistance may be availableto eligible students for classes or activities. Tuition assistanceis based on nancial need. For an application or moreinformation, call 262-670-0560, ext. 204.

    Student Absences: Classes or rehearsals missed bya student due to illness, scheduling conicts or any otherreason are not guaranteed a make-up class. Please notify theSchauer Center if you or your child will be missing class andto discuss available make-up options.

    Teacher Absence: If a teacher is unable to teach a class/rehearsal, the Schauer Center reserves the right to have aqualied professional substitute teach the class or reschedulethe class/rehearsal. In either case, students would beinformed of the change when time allows.

    Waiting Area Policy:Due to numerous activities,event set-up, and valuable artwork on display, the SchauerCenter prohibits parents from waiting in the Gallery (secondoor) after dropping children off for CSA class(es).If a parent chooses to stay on premises for the duration of achilds class, the Schauer Center requests that parents waiton the lower lobby level.

    Director:Phil ScalesThe Kettle Moraine Youth String Orchestra is dedicated topushing students to their ultimate potential, resulting in musicalexcellence. This is achieved by dividing students into twoensembles: Presto & Bravura Strings. Presto Strings is open tostudents in grades 5-8, have a minimum of two years playingexperience or in Suzuki Book 2. Bravura Strings is open studentswith 3-5 years playing experience or in Suzuki Book 5 or higher.All interested students must be currently enrolled in their schoolorchestra or study with a private instructor.

    Join the Schauer Center and Stagekids Community Productions / North Shore Academy of the Arts, Inc. for Seussical, Jr.! Experiencedstaff will take your child through the process of putting on a musical which culminates in four performances. These performances arecomplete with costumes, scenery, playbooks, lights, sound, and ACTION! All registered students will be cast in the production, butare strongly encouraged to participate in the audition process.

    Program Goals and Objectives:

    Intro to vocal projection, articulation, choreography, and acting. Intro to appropriate and believable stage movement. Fostering self-esteem and self-condence. To nurture friendships and to learn cooperatively.
