Tuesday June 12 3:00—5:00 Harry Potter Here at last! Are you a muggle with a passion for all things wizard? In anticipation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, come to Carver and play Harry Potter themed games such as Clue and Sce-ne It. Tuesday July 19 4:00—5:30 African Masks Learn about the ceremony and traditions associated with African masks. Then, make one of your own. Tuesday July 26 3:00—5:00 Wii Sports Have you ever dreamed of becoming an athlete? Test your athletic ability by joining us to play Wii Sports on the Nintendo Wii. Tuesday August 2 2:30—4:30 Recycled Art Turn trash into your treasure. Come and make recycled art from old magazine pages. Projects include magazine pots and jewelry beads. Thursday August 11 4:00—6:00 Minute to Win It! Do you have what it takes to win it in a minute? Come and compete in challenges such as Breakfast Scramble, Defying Gravity, Face the Cookie, Noodling Around, Nose Dive, and Separation Anxiety. *This program is supported in part by a Decentralized Arts Funding Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge in

Wednesday May 25 2:30—4:30 Summer Reading Kickoff– Library Great Race Start the summer off right with a library scavenger hunt and sign up for summer reading. Wednesday June 1 4:00—5:30 Guatemalan Worry Dolls Stressed out? Come to Carver and make a worry doll, a Guatemalan tradition that is said to take worries away and grant wishes. Tuesday June 7 5:00—6:00 Applying for College Get prepared! A representative from LSU Admissions will be at Carver to give a short presentation and answer questions about the college and financial aid application process. Teens and their parents are welcome. Wednesday June 15 2:30—5:30 Didgeridoo Down Under * Calling all teen music-heads! You’ve heard that weird “drone pipe” sound in experimental, industrial music. Now’s your chance to check it out, up close and personal. Lindsey Dank will be at Carver to per-form on the Didgeridoo, an Australian musical instrument that aboriginal people of the Kadaku region have been playing for over 1500 years. Tuesday June 3:30—5:30 European Jeopardy Do you know what knockwurst is or the capitol of Portugal? Tweens and teens are invited to test their knowledge of European culture and geography. Thursday June 30 4:00—6:00 Rockband Have you ever aspired to become a rock star? Test out your rock star skills playing Rockband on the Xbox 360. Wednesday July 6 3:00—5:00 Anime & Candy sushi
