Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom Adult Education Series

Thursdays | 6:30 PM | Neglia Hall and via Zoom

This study traces how the gospel witness spread outward in waves from Jerusalem, reveals how the

seeds of Church structure and authority took root, and shows how the joys and struggles of the early Christians living the life of Christ

apply to us today. Deadline to purchase materials is Sept. 6.

Contact: Donna Tomasini ([email protected]), John Donato ([email protected]) or

Attention Saint Peter’s Seniors! You are invited to join us as we organize the Seasoned Singles Society of The Basilica of Saint

Peter.

The proposed group will consist of senior members of the parish (male,

female, single, divorced, never married, widowed) who gather to enjoy spiritual and social activities

and to make friends. Suggested activities are to participate in the

spiritual experiences of the church, take day trips, attend sports

activities, cultural events, and enjoy meals and conversation with others.

We are reminded that our life still has purpose and we are never

alone!

All are welcome to join us! Contact Betty Hines (803-665-3408) or Shaida Benson (803-767-0497)

in our local community? MORE Justice is a growing network of faith-

based congregations—congregations that are culturally,

economically, racially, geographically, and religiously

diverse—coming together to fulfill our scriptural mandate to “do justice” and make the Central

Midlands area a more just place to live for all people. Learn more about how MORE Justice is teaming with the Catholic Campaign for Human Development this year and about Saint Peter’s involvement in the

MORE Justice Ministry at one of two upcoming “house meetings.”

Saint Peter’s Stephen Ministers provide Christ-centered and

confidential care In times when we experience suffering,

such as loss of a loved one, job loss, loneliness or other challenges,

remember that God never intends for us to go through these experiences alone. The Basilica of Saint Peter is home to

several Stephen Ministers who are ready to provide confidential and Christ-

centered care to people who are hurting.

If you would like to learn more about Stephen Ministry for yourself or

someone you care about, inside or outside the parish, you may talk with

one of our priests, deacons, or Stephen Leaders. All conversations are strictly

confidential.
