Employee Spotlight
Bogey
Years ago, on a date no one quite remembers, Bogey assumed the role as Club Mascot. Whether he’s hopping in the back of a golf cart for a peaceful nap and round of golf or waiting at the Clubhouse entrance to greet members, Bogey has become another fixture of the Club experience. He
loves a good scratch behind the ears, but only a few pats before he’s ready to wander
on. He diligently pesters members to let him in the
Clubhouse so he can take his afternoon nap in the
Ballroom, and regardless of how many times the staff
removes him, he persistently finds another way in. If you see him around the Club, be sure to give him a scratch for
letting us have a poke for this April Fool’s joke!
We’re halfway there! With your help we’ve raised
about $6,800 of $12,750 for new River Room
chairs. If you would like to donate, please contact the
Front Office at 325.651.7227. Your generosity is greatly
appreciated!!
The Golf Course will close at 2:30 Sunday, April 2nd as we will
begin aerifying greens to prepare for the
upcoming season! The Course will resume
normal operations the following Tuesday!

Tis the Season to Scramble! Weekly Tuesday Night Scrambles will start up
April 18th! Must be signed up 5:45p.m. to play at 6 o’clock, as well as be a MGA member to

We are starting a new
3.0/3.5 ladies league on Wednesday
evenings. Please call the Tennis Shop if you
would like to participate!
We are entering the UTSA league
season and the courts tend to be busier during the Spring tennis
season. Please call the Tennis Shop
to make court reservations!
The SMASH Tournament
As one of our longest running events, we are looking forward to another great
weekend of tennis at the SMASH tournament. Please sign up early, as this
tournament fills up quickly. Also, as many of you know, this is our primary facility
fundraiser. If you are interested in sponsoring our event or having a banner for
your business or family, please contact Will at the Tennis Shop.
Date: May 5th-7th Deadline: May 1st Format: Round Robin Doubles
Fees: $80 per player Divisions: Women’s 3.0, 3.5, 4.0
$160 per team Men’s 3.5, 4.0, Open
Tournament Schedule
Friday Night: Play begins at 5:30 with Margaritas and Snacks provided
Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Sunday: Breakfast & Lunch
*Keg beer, Gatorade, water and sodas will be provided for players throughout
the weekend. Non tournament players can pay $20 for burgers and beer
Saturday night. *
All players should plan on tournament play beginning at 5:30 on Friday the 5th
and continuing through early afternoon on the 7th. You should also expect
matches to run into "late night" on Friday and Saturday. Please call the Tennis
