Round 1: Using H, with RS facing join to any corner and work ch3 (counts as 1dc throughout), (1dc, ch2, 2dc) in same corner ch-2 sp, *1dc in each dc to end of side, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next corner ch-2 sp, repeat to end of round, ending sl st to top of first ch-3. 436 sts not including ch-2 sp at corners (109 sts per side)
Round 2: Using A, with RS facing work as round 1. 452 sts not including ch-2 sp at corners (113 sts per side)
Round 3: (In this rnd you will be encasing your strand of yarn in the color not being worked as in your previous color work in parts 1 and 2)Using I, with RS facing join to any corner and work ch3 & 1dc in corner ch-2 sp, * using J ch2 & 2dc in same corner ch-2 sp, 1dc in next dc, using I 1dc in each of next 3dc, (using J 1dc in each of next 3dc, using I 1dc in next 3dc) 18 times, using J 1dc in next dc & 2dc in next corner ch-2 sp, using I ch2 & 2dc in same corner ch-2 sp, 1dc in next dc, using J dc in each of next 3dc, (using I 1dc in each of next 3dc, using J 1dc in next 3dc) 18 times, using I 1dc in next dc **, 2dc in next corner ch-2 sp, rep from * to ** once more, sl st to top of first ch-3. 468 sts not including ch-2 sp at corners (117 sts per side)
