We are gladly & thankful to Our director Dr. sureja sir, Principal

Prof. B.M.Garala and Head of the Department Prof.A.G.Makati and our

faculties who give us a great supports and guidance regarding industrial visit

and instruct us the importance of industrial visit in engineering field. So we

decided to take visit our 5th semester Diploma student in super engineering-

rajkot.

We are especially thankful to HR manger of Mr. PARBAT BHAI sir who

give introduction about company and provide all technical details of production

.

OVERVIEW OF TRIP:

Om institute of engineering and technology had organized an industrial visit on 16 sep.2017 to super engineering pvt ltd located at

Rajkot . for student of diploma 5th sem.

DETAILS OF JOURNEY

We started travelling from the college campus at 7 :30 via

our bus on 16 SEP 2017 along with our students and faculties members.

We reached to the SUPER ENGI TECH. premises at RAJKOT within a 2

HOURS. · At the very beginning of our visit we met Mr.Parbat bhai at the

entrance of the main gate who is working for SUPER ENGI. as Production

manager.

Company profile:

Super Engi Tech. a family group business, based in INDIA, started in the year

1982 as a small foundry engaged in manufacturing quality castings using the

molasses sand process. As time passed and the business that started as a small

foundry started gaining experience and accreditations from the clients it introduced

the green sand process in its production.

The next milestone was set in the year 2010 when the company introduced

the No Bake Process. Since then the company has started gaining more and more

work from domestic as well as overseas clients. The future plan of the company is

to establish a high pressure moulding plant by the year 2014.

Our management philosophy is simple – to make the best of our existing

knowledge base and to keep us updated with the best practices followed in

our industry.

We understand the importance of Quality and On-Time Deliverables, in our

roles as a partner in our customers’ complex study chains, which has led to ever

expanding growth in business as well as winning confidence of our customers. We

are also implementing the ISO 9001:2008 quality standards in this financial year i.e.

2013

Hence our moto is Delivering Quality and In Time.

Products of the company:-

There are many product which produce by super engitech.

a) DISC BREAK

b) PUMP

c) FALCON PUMP PART

Manufacturing process of Casting :

many type of casting process are there. Here super engi tech use send casting process for manufacturing.

There are six steps in this process:

1. Place a Pattern in sand to create a mold. 2. Incorporate the pattern and sand in a gating system. 3. Remove the pattern. 4. Fill the mold cavity with molten metal. 5. Allow the metal to cool. 6. Break away the sand mold and remove the casting.

They are using automatic send palnt and semi automatic casting plant.they

are use very high quality standard for casting.they aslo use Horizontal Parting Flask

less Molding Machine-FBOX series machine it have very high molding strength.

Testing Lab

Spectra-lab make Spectrometers. Tensile testing machine. Optical Microscopes with image analyzer. Chemical testing (wet analysis) lab facility. Hardness testing machines. Fully Equipped Sand testing facilities including Wet Tensile. Carbon Equivalent meter.

SUMMARY :

It was a very good experiences. first time we saw sand casting plant, we saw

the semi automatic process for casting. it nice to see practically which we learn in

form of theory . we are discussed with production manager about process and defect

in part and also about problem which they faced.
