Supporting Your Child. Through Key Stage 4 Years 10 & 11. Parental Engagement. - PowerPoint PPT PresentationTRANSCRIPT
Through Key Stage 4
Years 10 & 11
Research has highlighted there’s a direct link between parental involvement and children’s performance in school. One survey, commissioned by Becta , of 1,000 children and 1,000 parents of children came to the following conclusion:
“Researchers have found a consistent link between increasing parental engagement in a students’ learning and improved attendance, behaviour and achievement – the parent/carer’s influence on a child’s learning is more important than the schools.”
