    Destination Selection

List at least three factors to consider in evaluating theenvironmental aspects of a destination?-Venue, location, driving time.

How would you find information about green suppliers?

    - The internet would most likely be the best way to find greensuppliers. By talking and consulting with other firms that do greenmeeting practices and asking who they used for vendors.

In making your decision, what value would you place on whether thedestination has existing green practices or at least is willing to

implement them for the meeting?- It seems like a very important factor that the destination supportsgreen practices. Not only would they most likely be more willing towork with on to make your event as green as possible but they wouldprobably know of other green vendors to work with.

    Venues

When do you discuss your green meeting expectations with theVenue?

The best time to discuss your green meeting expectations with the venueand stakeholders would be during the first contact you have with them.3

What is the next step once the venue has agreed to implement green

practices? One should make sure that the practices are really green by conducting

a survey of the site, to see if all of their policies and procedures are infact green.

What should you do to verify the green practices are beingimplemented? Although a site inspection is very important, make sure that there is

standards for the site to be measured against, so that they know whatthey have to do in order to meet the green standard.
