KLP® Hybrid Polymer S&C Bearers
Since its market introduction in 2006
the KLP® Hybrid Polymer S&C Bearer
has proven itself in many locations
worldwide.
Four steel reinforcement bars are
completely encased and moulded
into the S&C and bridge bearers
for rigidity and strength. With a
cross-section ranging from 300 x 130
mm to 300 x 150 mm, they are
available in lengths from 2,600 to
5,200 mm. Complete S&C units can
be supplied to form lengths of up
to 10,400 mm.
Installed at Vattenfall Mining in Germany,
the KLP
® Hybrid Polymer S&C Bearers
have accumulated over 133 million tons of axle load without any signs of wear.
KLP® Hybrid Polymer Bridge Bearers
The excellent damping characteristics
combined with their relatively
low weight make the KLP® Hybrid
Polymer Bridge Bearers ideal for use
on steel bridges.
KLP® Bridge Bearers can be supplied
to a specifi c height varying from
110 to 260 mm. The bearers are
machined with millimeter accuracy
and where required, pre-installed
with fastening systems. They can be
uniquely numbered and supplied
as a complete set to facilitate a
fast installation.
A sound reductionof 3-5 decibels was measured by Dutch
company Movares, after replacement of the
original bridge bearerswith the KLP
® Hybrid Polymer Bridge Bearers.
KLP® Hybrid Polymer Sleepers
The KLP® Hybrid Polymer Sleeper
is an excellent alternative to the
timber, concrete and steel sleepers
in current UK use.
Maintenance free and fully tested,
they have superior lateral resistance
in ballast and durable high end
benefi ts that will last a long
expected lifespan of over 50 years.
To maintain continous track stiffness
and strength, KLP® Hybrid Polymer
Sleepers are reinforced with two steel
bars, completely encased within the
Polymer during the moulding process.
They use 35% less material than the
traditional shaped solid sleepers and
can be supplied with either fl at, or
inclined baseplate areas.
