THE FUTURE IS BRIGHTSouthern Utah University Athletics reached unprecedented heights this past year after unveiling our Tassels, Titles and Tradition campaign. The heightened focus on providing high-quality academic and athletic experiences for our student-athletes led the way to historic achievements in the classroom and on the field of competition.

We are appreciative of the support Thunderbird Athletics receives from our fans, boosters and donors. The successes we realized over the year are undoubtedly linked to the increase in the generous contributions from the Thunderbird Club.

Every dollar donated to the Thunderbird Club is directly invested in the lives of our student-athletes through scholarship assistance, helping offset the increasing cost of providing an education.

I look forward to working with each of you as we invest in the future of our sport programs and in continuing our quest to provide a tassel and title to every student-athlete.

—Ken Beazer, SUU Athletic Director

PRIORITY SEATING FOR THE THUNDERBIRD CLUBThe Athletics Department uses a priority seating program for football and men’s basketball. This type of plan has long been identified as a “best practice” for NCAA Division I programs throughout the nation, as well as in the state.

This priority seating program was created to most effectively allocate the quantity and quality of tickets to athletic events that are anticipated to have a high demand, allowing us to reward individuals and organizations for their investment in the University through the Thunderbird Club. In addition, this seating program will help us in our efforts as we look to further our athletic teams. We are excited about the changes and improvements this will bring to your athletic experience through out the years.

FIRST IN LINEThe best seating is reserved for Thunderbird Club members and in addition to the many Thunderbird Club benefits, members are given the first opportunity to select preferred season tickets in their chosen location. Your opportunity to purchase priority seating is available, starting with an annual $100 monetary contribution to the Thunderbird Club.

You can purchase your season tickets and sign up to be a member of the Thunderbird Club at tbirdtickets.com, or through the Centrum Ticket Office by calling (435) 586-7872. As always, there are ticketing options available without a Thunderbird Club Membership as well.

KNOW YOUR TEAM“The generosity and support of the Thunderbird Club members has been great. As the popularity of our sport and team continues to grow, we look forward to further deepening those bonds.”

—Becky Hogan, SUU Soccer Head Coach

“Our players love getting to know the Thunderbird Club members on a personal level. It makes their experience at SUU so much more memorable. The donations that the members give us help us so much to be competitive in the Big Sky.”

—Debby Baker, SUU Volleyball Head Coach

QUESTIONSWe appreciate your support and involvement with SUU Athletics. Please visit our FAQ page at suutbirdclub.com/questions, or contact us directly with any questions you may have.

Below is a short list of our most often frequently asked questions:

What is the Thunderbird Club? The Thunderbird club is the “Team Behind the Teams” at SUU Athletics! As such, we promote positive awareness and help to raise necessary funding for scholarships and to the advancement of our programs.

Is there a deadline to reserve my tickets? Your previous seats will always roll over to the 2014–15 season. However, these seats must be purchased before August 1st for football, and October 10th for basketball. All unreserved seats will be released to the public at this time.

What is priority seating? All seating is reserved with limited exceptions. However, the priority seating applies to the premium areas that are reserved for Thunderbird Club members.

Can I keep or improve my seats each year? Yes, Thunderbird Club members who make the minimum contribution and meet the deadlines each year will have the first opportunity to renew their seats each year. During the renewal process Thunderbird Club members will also have the opportunity to request an improvement in their seating.

Do the contributions I make for football seats count for my basketball seats too? Yes, your yearly seating obligation will apply to both football and men’s basketball.

For more information, contact the Thunderbird Club Office at 435-865-8770.

BUILDING A TRADITION“We couldn’t do what we do without the support of the Thunderbird Club. Their monetary donations are really what helps us to be competitive and continue to grow and develop our programs. Thank you for your generosity.”

—Scott Bauman, SUU Gymnastics Head Coach

THANK YOUThe scholarship I received from SUU provided me with the opportunity to attend an amazing university and be a part of a great football team. Without receiving a scholarship, I would not have been able to afford college and it took tons of pressure off of me and my family so I could focus on being the best student and football player I could be. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about the opportunity I was given at SUU, and for that I am forever grateful.

—Gavin Farr, SUU Student-Athlete

THANK YOU“My scholarship from SUU has made it possible for me as an out of state student to play the game I love and still be able to afford my schooling. Without this scholarship, I could have just stayed in Nebraska and payed in state tuition, but my dream to play basketball would have never been fulfilled. SUU made it possible and every minute here has been a dream come true..”

—Hailey Mandelko, SUU Student-Athlete

THANK YOUMy athletic scholarship from SUU has helped tremendously in my efforts to excel in golf. It has given me the opportunity to pursue my dream of playing professional golf by giving me the time necessary to practice each day as well as compete in elite college tournaments. Without it, I would not be able to play the sport I love while going to college, and I would also not be able to graduate in four years debt-free. I am sincerely thankful for the opportunity that has been given to me and strive my best to show my appreciation to those who have been so generous.

—Sammy Cole, SUU Student-Athlete
