LocationUAE World Desert section of the Al Ain Zoo.

PurposeComprehensive exhibit interpretation of Abu

Dhabi Emirate's desert environment, traditions, conservation efforts and emerging sustainable

sensibilities.

AreasThe exhibit spaces and galleries make up a

significant quantity of the clients brief in terms of floor area. Other feature public spaces include

the multipurpose feature theatre, a research library and cafeteria and amenities. The offices

and staff spaces is made up of open plan seating arrangement, meeting rooms, technical workshop, and a BMS server room. The entire

basement level and ancillary service dock accommodates the technical and innovative

building service systems and accounts for a large portion of the projects floor area and

facility requirements

FeaturesInterpretation designed according to a hybrid

exhibit design character, balancing an interpretive centre/museum design approach

with science centre exhibit principles & also climatically balanced & energy efficient; the end

result is a “formal” museum look animated by exhibits that emphasize exploration,

experimentation and “fun” that visitors typically experience in science centres.

OUR SYSTEM GOAL

- Our solutions will cater to the consideration of image, function & promotion.- Priority to the needs of first time visitors to the campus and sites.

- A sense of arrival must be achieved with clear vision directing visitors to specific destinations.

- System that is consistent so that visitors become familiar with the system and develop a sense of knowing where to look for information.

- This identity will give them a handy reach to every space existing in the leaning centre from a single source point.

- Landmarks to provide orientation cues and memorable locations, site lines to show what is ahead.

- System carries a theme that is incorporated with existing ambience and colors. - System is adaptable to future changes of the learning centre so changes

can be made by the Facilities Department.- System avoids confusion.& provides information that will not give too

many navigation choices.

W A Y F I N D I N G S Y S T E MPlaced Strategically at the entrance of the learning centre, Our wayfinding system will hold the whole Circulation data from the source point to the destination point of learning centre premises categorically. It comprises of two key parts Visitor’s’End / Front End & the Admins End / Back End.

Visitor’s End as the name suggest hold the main interface which the incoming visitor will operate to explore the space & grab the info as per requirements. It smoothly facilitates the respective foot falls and guide n direct them to their proper destinations.

Admin’s End holds the information data related to the Visitors End, which can be controlled and updated as per future requirements. Developed in a very user friendly way it is customized in away that can be handled & updated by the client at any given point of time

START WITH A CLEAN LOOK DESIGN WITH A VERY CLEAN METALIC FEEL. THEN IN THE

SECOND ONE BREAKING THAT CLEAN FEEL IN TO A DYNAMIC ANGULAR FEEL AND WITH THE THIRD ONE

BREAKING THE NOTION OF THE SECOND OPTION BY HAVING A DARK HI-TECH FEEL. THUS GIVING OUR CLIENT VARIETY IN IDEAS TO STAND WITH AND CHOOSE FURTHER FOR THE FINAL INTERFACE..

A TYPICAL INTERFACE LOOK WITH OVERALL SUBTLE GREY LOOK WITH SUPPORTIVE INTERACTIVE ELEMENTS COLORED IN PASTEL CONTRASTING COLORS OF GREENS & BLUES. BUTTONS OF THE LEVELS, THE KEY AREAS & THE AMENITIES HAVE A METALLIC LOOK BUTTONS WITH THE RESPECTIVE COLOR SHOWING THEIR CLEAN DISTRIBUTION & DEFINITION.BASE COLOR

AN ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE IN THIS OPTION BY TRYING A CLEAR ADAPTATION OF THE SUBTLE COLORS OF THE DESERT AND THE DYNAMIC ANGLES FROM THIS BEAUTIFULLY WELL SCULPTED BUILDING IN THE INTERFACE OF THE WAYFINDER.THE DYNAMIC LINES & ANGLES WHICH ADORN THE PLAN AND THE ELEVATION ARE ALSO BEING RELECTED IN THE INTERACTIVE ELEMENTS OF THE INTERFACE.

CLICK ADD/EDIT USER/USERS FOR GETTING THE USER DETAILS AND USER PRIVILEGES.

ADDING NEW USERSINITIALLY USER IS ENABLED AFTER PRESSING NEW, USER OPTION IS DISABLED.FOR ADDING NEW USERS CLICK ON NEW ENTER USER NAME, PASSWORD AND THEN CONFIRM PASSWORD.FOR EACH PAGE PRIVILEGES CAN BE SET.

TO SET PRIVILEGE FOR TERMINAL, PATH, BUILDING, FLOOR, ROOMIF WE TICK MARK ON ADD UNDER THE TERMINAL SECTION, THEN USER CAN ONLY HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO VIEW AND ADD THE TERMINAL. HE CANNOT DO EDIT AND DELETE. BY DEFAULT USER CAN VIEW THE PAGE EVEN IF ANY ONE OF THE OPTIONS ARE SELECTED. BUT IF NONE OF THE OPTIONS ARE SELECTED THEN THE USER CANNOT ENTER INTO THE PAGE. IF WE CLICK ON VIEW USER CAN HAVE THE ACCESS TO VIEW THE PAGE ONLY. WE CANNOT PERFORM ADD, EDIT OR DELETE. WHEN CLICKING ON EDIT BUTTON, VIEW AND EDIT ARE ACTIVATED.SIMILARLY FOR DELETE, VIEW AND DELETE IS ACTIVATED. AFTER PERFORMING ALL THE SETTINGS SAVE THE NEW USER AND THE NEW USER SETTINGS. ONCE SAVED YOU CAN EDIT, DELETE, VIEW THE USER DETAILS BY SELECTING THE USER FROM USER FIELD. NOW WHEN YOU SELECT THE USER, EDIT BUTTON IS AUTOMATICALLY ENABLED.EDITON CLICKING EDIT, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD, DON’T PUT ANY PASSWORD ON THE WINDOW. LEAVE THE SPACE OF CHANGE PASSWORD AND CONFIRM PASSWORD BLANK.USER PRIVILEGE IS EXPLAINED IN THE SAME WAY AS EXPLAINED PREVIOUSLY.IF YOU WANT NO CHANGES, PRESS CANCEL. THE CURRENT PAGE WILL CLOSE.NOTE: LIGHT GRAY COLOR APPEARING ON THE BUTTON SIGNIFIES THAT THE BUTTON ARE ACTIVATED OR ENABLED. WE HAVE 6 GROUPS, THEY ARE TERMINAL, FLOOR, BUILDING, PATH, ROOM, USER.

TERMINAL

TERMINAL HERE REFERS TO KIOSK.IN TERMINAL WE HAVE TWO OPTIONS, VIEW AND EDIT. WHEN YOU GO TO VIEW YOU CAN SEE THAT YOU HAVE FULL DETAILS OF THE TERMINALS AS SHOWN BELOW. YOU CAN EVEN EDIT CLICKING ON EDIT OPTION. SIMILARLY, IN THE EDIT OPTION YOU CAN CHANGE THE TERMINAL DETAILS BY JUST CLICKING ON THE DROP DOWN BUTTON OF TERMINAL. SELECT THE TERMINAL WHICH YOU WANT TO CHANGE AND THEN PRESS ION EDIT. EDIT OPTION IS ENABLED ONLY AFTER YOU SELECT A TERMINAL ELSE IT REMAINS DISABLED.ONCE YOU DO THE CHANGES, YOU CAN EITHER PRESS SAVE OR YOU CAN CANCEL THE CHANGES DONE. ABOVE DIAGRAM SHOWS JFINDER TERMINAL EDIT.

FLOOR VIEWFLOOR VIEW IS AS SHOWN ABOVE. IT’S WORKING IS SAME AS THAT OF TERMINAL. IN VIEW YOU CAN SEE DETAILS OF EACH FLOOR AND THEN YOU CAN ALSO EDIT THE DETAILS FROM FLOOR VIEW BY CLICKING ON EDIT UNDER UPDATE OPTION.

FLOOR EDITIN FLOOR EDIT WE HAVE TO SELECT A FLOOR WHICH NEEDS TO EDIT AND THEN PRESS ON EDIT AFTER DOING NECESSARY EDITING PRESS SAVES OR CLICK ON CANCEL TO GO BACK.
