The KHS Performing Arts Department is trying to raise money for a trophy area right outside the Concert Hall and Theatre so people can see all of the great work that our students are doing. This display area will go right by the mural outside the CHaT and will look similar to the Art Departments display area. We need $8,500 to get this done. The good news is we have already raise $6,500. If you would like to be apart of helping push us over the top please consider giving today! You can do so by speaking with Mr. LeFeber or by going to www.kearneybands.org>click on fund-raising> then Strike Up the Band. Put Trophy Case in the comments sections. Laura Pierce Memorial CommissionLaura Pierce was our choir accompanist for 14 years at Kearney High School. Her dedication and devoted service to the students at KHS was unparalleled. We cannot count the number of notes she played for choirs, soloists, and musicals during her tenure here. To honor her memory, we would like to commission a new choral work. This song for choir with beautiful piano accompaniment will celebrate her time working in the music and theater programs. We have asked world-renowned composer Eric William Barnum to write this musical work for us. He worked with Chorale and Miss Pierce during the 2018-2019 school year.
