Support the Production of our Bulletin For quite sometime we have been producing our own bulleting al-lowing us to meet the needs of the three languages. If we were to send this bulletin out to be produce, we would have to have one bul-letin in English only for everyone and the publications of the Read-ings in Italian and Spanish would have to come to an end. Help us by Supporting our advertisers and also by placing an add in our bulletin for a year. Please call the office for more information.

MASS INTENTIONS The transfiguration narrative is a Christophany, that is, a manifestation or revelation of who Jesus really is. Describing Jesus’ transfiguration, the gospel gives us a glimpse of the heavenly glory awaiting those who do God’s will by putting their trusting faith in Him. The primary purpose of Jesus’ transfiguration was to allow Him to consult his heavenly Father and ascertain His plan for His Son’s suffering, death and resurrection.
Bible Class Just a reminder the next Bible Classes will be on Tuesday’s March 17, 24, 2015 in the Holy Family Room with Fr Bartek in preparation for the time of Lent. The class starts 7pm and it is finished 8pm sharp. All are welcomed, and are encouraged to come!
Stations of the Cross this Lent
Join us this Friday at after the 8am mass for Stations of the Cross in English and Italian. Also, after the 7:00pm mass this Friday during the Exposition of the
blessed sacrament in all three languages.
ShareLife Working wonders in our livelihoods… “the services provided by ShareLife agen-cies are lifesaving and life-restoring to those who regu-larly rely on them. Families are working through crisis and are healing. People with developmental challenges are supported as they experience a sense of self-worth and fulfillment in their daily activities. Seniors are living independently with access to the care and services they need. Refugees and new Canadians are guided toward a stable, productive liveli-hood in their newfound home. Sometimes the results are obvious and sometimes they’re invisible, but, always, they make a tangible difference.” Today is ShareLife Sunday. Please give generously. You can work wonders!
Tax-Receipts Income-tax receipts have been mailed out and we ask every-
one to let us know if they have not re-ceived it by the end of this week. Many times we have old addresses which parish-ioners have not updated. You can pick them up once they have been returned to the office by Canada Post.
Fasting and Reconciling Tree
Fasting can bring spiritual growth when its purpose is clear , understood and accepted. We fast so that we can feel hunger for God and what we fast from is given to those who hunger too often in their lives, the poor. We invite everyone to make your Recon-ciliation and Fasting a discipline that does make a difference in your life and in the lives of others. Tie a PURPLE RIBBON onto the tree
whenever you fast from food and give food to the poor (you can also support our ef-forts to help them by making a sacrificial do-nation.
Tie a WHITE RIBBON onto the tree whenever you seek reconciliation or forgive someone who seeks your forgiveness.
Day of Reconciliation Wednesday, March 4, 2015
The archdiocese of Toronto has once again assigned this day for all parishes to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation through the entire day. Our parish will offer this
sacrament as follows:
8:30am to 10:30am
English-Italian only 3:00pm to 5:00pm
All 3 languages 7:30pm (after mass) to 9:30pm
All three languages We invite the parishioners to
check the notices on our bulletin boards containing the schedule of
Confessions in our area.
Questions for Reflection: Is it hard to abandon yourself to blind trust?
What within you can help you with that trust?
How does intervening “for” someone, tak-ing a stand for him or her, relate to “love your neighbor?”?
March 1, 2015
Pray for Vocations
If you need examples of persons responding to God’s call, look at Abra-ham and Sarah called in old age to leave their coun-try and have a child. Then Abraham was asked to sacrifice that child. What faith! Answering God’s call to be a priest, brother, sister or deacon is also taking a great risk. If you are willing, and think God is calling you to a Church vocation, call Fr. Chris Lemieux, Vocation Direc-tor, Archdiocese of Toronto at 416-968-0997 or email [email protected]
Calling all parents of Kindergarten Students
On February 24, at St. Jane Frances Catholic School 2745 Jane St., To-ronto and on February 26, at St. Ma-ria Goretti Catholic School 21 Ken-mark Blvd., Toronto The TCDSB invites all parents of kindergarten-age children to attend a free, two-part in-teractive parent fair. The fair will provide parents with advice and re-sources to help their children improve listening and understanding skills, speaking and literacy skills. To regis-ter, call 416-222-8282, ext. 2261 or visit www.tcdsb.org/parentfair. Free child minding and refreshments.
2015 Offertory Envelopes Parishioners who did not find their as-signed box of envelopes and parishion-ers who would like to start using offerto-ry envelopes can pick up a new box at the office. We do ask that you read the form inside the box, and follow the instruc-tions provided. We ask for your help to keep our records updated.
Did you know? For many years parishes do their best to bring to parishioners religious literature that can help with your pri-vate spiritual growth. This litera-ture comes from companies that sell these materials which are written by people who dedicate their lives to reflect and write as something they do for a living. There is a real cost to all these materials as well as time dedicated by staff and volunteers who order them and make them available through to you. Some parishes that are better off can afford to spend parish funds purchase these mate-rials and give them out to everyone for free. Unfor tunately that is not the case with us and that is why we cannot afford to give them for free. In fact, we see this as opportunities to fund raise in order to make up for the short fall of our weekly parish ex-penses. We hope that you will sup-port these efforts and do it generously and gratefully.
Can you Help? Floor cutting We are looking for help from anyone who has expe-rience in concrete cutting.
We need to cut part of the concrete floor of the church for some electrical wiring we are in-stalling.
The work also includes digging a small trench, and then filling it in with concrete afterwards.
If you have the tools and are will-ing to donate your time and ener-gy to help us, could you please leave your name and phone num-ber at the office so we may con-
tact you about this project. Many thanks!
Feasting & Fasting Lent can be more than a time of fasting; it can be a season of feasting. We can use Lent to fast from certain things and to feast on others.
Lent is a season in which we can: Fast from words that pollute; feast on phrases that purify. Fast from discontent; feast on gratitude. Fast from anger; feast on patience. Fast from pessimism; feast on optimism. Fast from worry;
feast on divine order. Fast from complaining; feast on appreciation. Fast from negatives; feast on affirmatives. Fast from unrelenting pressures; feast on unceasing prayer. Fast from hostility; feast on non-resistance. Fast from bitterness; feast on forgiveness. Fast from self-concern;
feast on compassion.
