The Victoria HotelThe Victoria Hotel offers three beautiful Function Suites - all of which are licensed to host Civil Wedding Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships & Renewal of Vows. Our function suites offer a sense of grandeur to each event - boasting beautiful, elegant interiors & lots of natural daylight.

At The Victoria Hotel, we understand that each Wedding is a unique occasion, that's why we promise to deliver your dream wedding day by offering the personalised services of a dedicated & experienced Event Manager who will assist you every step of the way. We have designed two Wedding Packages for your consideration & offer a Tailored-To-You Events service for Wedding Receptions.

Civil CeremoniesAll three function suites are licensed to host Civil Wedding Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships & Renewal of Vows at The Victoria Hotel.

A ceremony set-up fee of £240.00 will apply for any Civil Wedding Ceremony, Civil Partnership or Renewal of Vows held at The Victoria Hotel.

Once you have decided on a Civil Wedding, all arrangements should be made directly with the Registrar. It is the responsibility of the happy couple (not The Victoria Hotel) to make the necessary booking & arrangements.

The George-Eliot Suite Perfect for a more intimate Wedding, The George-Eliot Suite can accommodate up to 10 guests on a banqueting round table for a Wedding Breakfast. The suite is located at the top of the staircase on the first floor of the hotel & is beautifully decorated in pale blue, white & gold prints. The suite has a feature fireplace & a beautiful oversized ceiling chandelier.

The MacNeil Suite This suite is perfect for any celebration & for medium-sized weddings. The MacNeil Suite can accommodate up to 50 guests on banqueting round tables for a Wedding Breakfast & up to 100 for an evening reception. The suite is located on the ground floor of the hotel & is elegantly designed with high ceilings, ornate Victorian style coving & chandelier lighting. What was once the hotel’s library, is now a private bar for your Wedding Reception.

The Elizabeth SuiteFor numbers of over 80 guests, your wedding would be held in The Elizabeth Suite which can accommodate up to 130 guests seated for a Wedding Breakfast & 180 for a Wedding Reception. Our hotel lawn & patio is accessible via French doors & makes a quaint backdrop for photographs or a champagne reception. The Elizabeth Suite is a self-contained, plush space with a private bar & bathroom facilities - ensuring exclusivity & privacy throughout. The suite is decorated in neutral colours with a hint of grey & silver throughout. The pleated fabric ceiling is lit by eight chandeliers & offers a very sparkling surprise for the evening reception!

Relax & unwind in our 73 beautifully appointed bedrooms, comprised of forty four Standard Rooms, twelve Family/Quad Rooms, fifteen Executive Doubles & two Suites.

Wedding Accommodation RatesWe offer a reduced rate for any of your Wedding guests wishing to stay at The Victoria Hotel & we can apply this rate to stays for both the night prior to your Wedding & the night of.

We are happy to hold a small number of bedrooms on an allocation basis to guarantee the rate, but your guests will need to call the hotel & make their individual reservation from this allocation.

We will need to hold a credit card to secure each room on booking, but the account can be settled on arrival to the hotel.

Allocated rooms will be held until four weeks prior to your Wedding Day & any rooms not taken by this date, will be released for general sale. At this point any guest rooms will be charged at the best available selling rate.

Terms & Conditions

Booking A provisional booking can be held no longer than 14 days.

A non-refundable deposit of £500.00 is required to secure the booking.If the required deposit is not received within 14 days from the provisional booking date, the hotel reserves the right to

cancel any provisional booking without further notice.All deposits are non-refundable, but the hotel may, at its discretion, transfer the deposit to an alternative date.

We ask that you read and sign our terms and conditions on booking with us at The Victoria Hotel.

Payment Six months prior to your wedding an estimated invoice will be sent of which 75% is payable

Eight weeks prior to your wedding, an invoice for the outstanding balance known to the Hotel at that date will be sent to you.

Final payment of your wedding is due no later than four weeks prior to your wedding day.

Please discuss any preferred payment arrangements with the Event Manager on confirming the wedding.

CancellationsCancellation less than 14 days before the date of the Event - 90% of the total contracted value of the Wedding

Cancellation between 12 weeks & 14 days before the Event (both dates inclusive) - 75% of the total contracted value of the WeddingCancellation between 20 weeks & 12 weeks in advance - 40% of the total contracted value of the Wedding

All intimations of cancellation must be made in writing to the Hotel & will be effective on the date of actual receipt by the Hotel.

The Hotel will endeavour to mitigate any losses incurred as a result of the cancellation of the Event (by the Client) by advertising availability of the date of the Event or taking any other steps, which in the Hotel’s sole discretion will mitigate any loss.

The Client shall be liable to indemnify the Hotel upon demand for all reasonable expenses incurred by it as a result of cancellation of the Event by the Client.

Booking of outside servicesThe hotel must be notified if any outside organisations will be providing a service at your Wedding i.e. entertainment / inflatables / marquee.

In-date Public Liability insurance must be provided to the hotel no later than four weeks prior to your Wedding Date.

Accommodation 48 hour Cancellation agreed for all guest bedrooms.

Any cancellations or amendments made less than 48 hours prior to arrival will incur full charges.
