On Tuesday, December 13, TREB hosted the first session in its new Learn to Earn series.
Grow Your Business with BDC featured a presentation by Terri Mann, Vice President of Consulting Business Development at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). Terri shared proven strategies that could help REALTORS® craft a compelling business story to achieve meaningful and measurable results in growing their business.
Following the presentation, representatives from BDC stuck around for a question and answer session with attendees.

Commercial Committee
A Commercial Market Watch dashboard is being developed which will allow Members to monitor and measure performance and metrics from their mobile device or desktop, visualize and analyze data, and focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from Market Watch. Peter Burdon, Chair
Condominium Committee
The Committee will provide input on the Condominium Management Services Act, 2015 (CMSA). The CMSA regulates and provides for the licensing of condominium managers and condominium management providers in Ontario. Dick Briscoe, Chair
Consumer Relations Committee
TREB’s “Homeownership is a Great Investment” campaign continues with TV and radio appearances. TREB media mentions averaging 6 a day and social media 72 mentions a day. Twitter continues to be our most active social media platform with 20.9 million views in Q4 2016. Michael Collins, Chair
Finance Committee
The Committee meets monthly to discuss TREB’s financial health, to review the monthly financial statements, and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors on various items. Garry Bhaura, Chair; John Lusink, Vice Chair
Government Relations Committee
The Committee is working on a number of issues, including changes to Land Transfer Taxes. After much lobbying, the province recently doubled the first-time buyer LTT rebate. GRC presented TREB’s position against a possible municipal LTT hike, especially on first-time home buyers, during City Hall’s Budget public hearings. Member Communications Committee
Across The Board’s readership continued to grow last month with 76.8% of Members having opened the newsletter (surpassing the previous record by 30%). The three most popular non-MLS® System sites Members visited from within Stratus were Public Records, REALTOR Link®, and Connect. The majority of you used Chrome to access Stratus (63%) on a computer with a Windows operating system (77%). Michael Collins, Chair

The Committee continues to explore ways to enhance the TREB Member Experience. Projects on the go include possible enhancements to the 25 & 50 Year Member Dinner, improved recognition for TREB Committee volunteers, and new discounts for Members, e.g., Royal Ontario Museum and Ripley’s Aquarium. MLS®, Technology & Related Services Committee
The latest technology initiative of the Committee has been the implementation of Google Maps in all Stratus applications, Connect Unified Search and MPAC propertyline™ (Public Records). Professional Development Committee
The Committee is examining ways to incentivize Member participation in pro-fessional development courses and increase the accessibility of the Brokerage Outreach Program to offices outside of the GTA. December/January marked the soft launch of a new Best Practices course series. • Share your feedback on upcoming and potential TREB services
• Provide a networking opportunity with likeminded REALTORS®

its eleventh year, expanded
in 2012 to include two additional
scholarships. Two $5,000 first-place
scholarships and two $2,500 second-
place scholarships will be awarded
on behalf of REALTORS® to four
graduating high school seniors pursuing
post-secondary education, for example,
university, college, or trade school.

Collaborate allows you to store a wide range of files to share with your clients. There are several
advantages to using Documents:
• The files are stored in the Cloud, so you have access to them wherever you are.
• They are secure.
• You can create folders to store files of a similar type together.
• There are no attachments for the client to miss or accidentally delete. Nor do you have to worry about the files going to the client’s email spam. The files transfer directly into their Documents folder.
• Since they are transferred to the client’s Documents, they will always know where they are.
The file types that you can store in Documents include JPG, GIF, PPT, DOC, XLS, and PDF. The total storage capacity is 100 MB.
