• Project description : Implemented Open Source solution that resulted in cost-

savings and higher productivity. We used Linux and LTSP so that Omega will

have increased security and it lowers the software licensing.

7.1.2 Aik Cheong Coffee Roaster Sdn Bhd

• Company description : Aik Cheong is a household name in Malaysia and

making waves throughout Asia. Aik Cheong reach out to China, Singapore,

Taiwan, the Americas, Canada, U.S.A, Australia and Poland. They have been

manufacturing coffee since 1955 in Melaka, Southern City State of West

Malaysia. Their manufacturing coffee plant itself has over 300,000 sq. ft of

• Project description : YSS wanted to allow

its activities to be shared between the

various branches of YSS throughout

Malaysia. By setting up a web portal for

knowledge, YSS is able to save time and

money as well as improve its collaboration

7.2.2 Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation

measures for crime prevention and the

treatment of the offenders by way of

survey, research and other programmes.

The patron of the foundation is Tun Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

another party. MCPF wanted to revamp the site and to it will allow the staff

members of the foundation to have a better control over the content of the site.

1989, involving mainly in building construction work. Throughout the years, the

Mandarin-speaking executives and non-executives that are looking into

improving their English skills. Hualon engaged IT Jaya to conduct English as a

7.4.1 Melaka Sentral Sdn Bhd

• Company description : Melaka Sentral is the public

transportation hub of Melaka. The terminal was built

at a cost of about RM48 million. The facility includes a

wet market, a farmer's market, eating outlets and a

shopping mall.

Management System, Melaka Sentral has engaged IT Jaya to increase its

security from invasion via the Internet.

• Company description : Match Plus (M) Sdn Bhd is a catalogue sales company

that has distributions throughout the whole of Malaysia. The headquarter is

based in the state of Melaka and their products include shoes, leather bags and

clothings for adults and children.

• Project description : Match Plus engage us for its IT security protection from

threats via the Internet. Additionally, Match Plus is also using the Hewis

Accounting and Inventory for its business purposes.

• Project description : Being a new and growing company, Sahaj did not want to

spend too much and yet wanted trusted advice on IT. They have engaged IT

Jaya for the purchase of computer hardware and software applications.

7.5.2 Melaka Mall Sdn Bhd

• Company description : Melaka Mall is a one-stop shopping center for the

family. It is strategically located in Melaka to cater to the locals and with eating

outlets, a supermarket and shops of various kinds, one is able to have a fulfilling

experience with Melaka Mall.

local area network (LAN) and set up of computers. They have engaged IT Jaya

• Company description : Gerakan Sdn Bhd is involved in a wholesaler of

processed wood. It imports them and sells them to distributors throughout

Malaysia. It is based in Melaka and Johor.

• Project description : As the operation of the business expands, the traditional

usage of paper is no longer able to keep up with the demands. Gerakan decides

to computerize its inventory with a highly customized interface. IT Jaya

developed a system to ease their billing and provided support for their technical

issues.
