Young people today have never lived in a world without AIDS. We account for almost 45% of all new HIV infections with an estimated 5.5 million young people living with HIV today. With our future at stake, young people must be at the centre of the response. Global leaders have promised us universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support by 2010 - young people need to take the lead to make sure this promise becomes a reality.
