Talenteev Talent Solutions Benchmark Analysis criteria (1/10) : Solution card (51 cards available)

Page 11: Talent Solutions Benchmark Executive Summary

A functionalities matrix, which consists in almost 150 features covering the eight talent management processes (Recruitment, Performance, Competency, Compensation, Learning, Succession, Career and Potential) has been established by Talenteev Labs and 37 solutions, among 51 audited in this study, have been accurately analyzed!

Given the diversity of the market offerings and the evolving talent management challenges, the choice of the most adequate solution has become tactical if not strategic : the chess game analogy is rather pertinent!

Within this scope, Talenteev Labs has modeled the HRIS solution landscape by a 6 zones Chessboard; each zone being symbolized by a Chess piece. We have placed the 37 audited solutions on the TS Chessboard!

11

A talent management solution has to satisfy a simple but usually neglected condition: To meet the

business needs!

This study does not certify that a given solution will satisfy with certainty all your functional needs

but it is meant to be a precious guide to help you choose the adequate solution without resorting

to a third party: save time and reduce costs!

Talenteev Talent Solutions Benchmark Analysis criteria (2/10) : functional assessment : The TS Chessboard (4/4)

Based on the Talent Solutions Chessboard and the functionnalities matrix, we are pleased to unveil the Top 5 solutions covering the lagest talent management scope (concerning the 8 TM processes). It is about the solutions that offer the most built-in functionalities as indicated in the functionalities matrix.

Nevertheless, it is important to consider that this depends on the context, the constraints and the needs. Let’s keep in mind that in certain situations a Pawn could be more useful than a Queen in a Chess game!

Page 16: Talent Solutions Benchmark Executive Summary

Taking into consideration the TS Chessboards, Talenteev Labs has measured, for each process, the coverage level by the audited solutions and presented it using a tool named the « Process Coverage Temperature ». The eight processes have been classified into four health levels: Top Shape, Healthy, Recovering and Sick.

Talenteev Talent Solutions Benchmark Analysis criteria (3/10) : The Process Coverage Temperature

Page 17: Talent Solutions Benchmark Executive Summary

This criterion deals with the adequacy level of each solution with the SMB specificities.

Several criteria were considered to classify the talent management solutions into three adaptation levels:

• Unsuited

• Poorly suited

• Adapted to SMB

The classification of the audited solutions is communicated by means of the “SMB Compliance Podium”:

Talenteev Talent Solutions Benchmark Analysis criteria (4/10) : SMB Compliance

Page 18: Talent Solutions Benchmark Executive Summary

The user interaction with the solution has to be straightforward, easy and fruitful. Therefore, the user experience assessment should start with the identification of the user needs that are classified by priority order: from client service to client experience.

Talenteev has distinguished between four main factors, based on the collaboration with UX experts, in order to assess the audited solutions user experience; namely: satisfaction of the functional needs (Functionality), easiness of the solution usage (Usability), the desirability of the esthetical aspects (Desirability) and the branding features (Branding).

In order to classify the audited solutions, we have considered a three levels UX scale (level 3 being the best):

18

Functionality

Desirability

Branding

Usability

Level 1 : Fundamental

Level 2 : Believable

Level 3 : Meaningful

Talenteev Talent Solutions Benchmark Analysis criteria (5/10) : User Experience (1/2) : Methodology

Page 19: Talent Solutions Benchmark Executive Summary

After analysis of the User Experience of 17 among 51 audited solutions in this study, we are pleased to unveil the Top 3 of the studied solutions.

Indeed, 17 solutions have been accurately analyzed by Talenteev through several demonstrations presented by the solution providers and multiple webinars and videos detailing the available functionalities and portals.

We have also conducted a panel of solutions users so as to discuss about the obtained results and retrofit them if needed.

Even if the following solutions differentiate from one another, we have noticed considerable efforts from the editor to ease the solution usage. Actually, 17,5% of them have reached the maximum score and about 65% have taken the 2nd level (believable).

Page 20: Talent Solutions Benchmark Executive Summary

The importance of social networking within any successful marketing strategy has made the social influence, based on “Social Actions“, an independent criterion of this study (Social networks included in this study are the most wide-spread).

An action = like, follower, subscribers, recommendations, etc. Based on these actions we implemented the two graphical tools: “Social Radar” and “Social Scale”.

« Social Radar »: Allowing intra-analysis to present the popularity of a given solution provider within the studied networks.

« Social Scale » : General ranking of editors with regard to their popularity (influence?) on the studied social networks, using as a reference the average of social actions.

The TM solution providers have different deployment modes. The "Deployment Landscape" aims to provide you with an overview of all hosting choices offered by the audited solution providers.

In addition to deployment modes “In the Cloud” and “On-premises”, a list of solutions including a mobile solution (on tablets or smartphones) is also available in this study.

Another important criterion to be considered while choosing a talent management solution: taking into consideration the existing HRIS landscape!

Which recruitment or learning solution integrates well with the existing HR core solution? Which compensation management tool communicates best with the existing performance management solution? These are some of many questions to be asked! We tried to bring some answers herein.

Talenteev Talent Solutions Benchmark Analysis criteria (9/10) : HRIS Puzzle (2/2)

Several HR solutions communicate between each other through connectors that are developed and maintained by solution providers. Studying the integration of the solution within the existing HRIS landscape is accomplished by the analysis of the integration level with the different solutions in question.

The possibilities of integration for the 51 solutions were studied according to a grid. The obtained results were recorded in an integration matrix : the 51:51 Big Integration Matrix. (For further information, please contact us: [email protected]).

The HRIS puzzle is a presentation model of the different solutions that do communicate between each others natively (pre-developed connector provided by one of the solution providers).

Talenteev Talent Solutions Benchmark Analysis criteria (10/10) : Cost Atom

The implementation of a talent management solution requires four costs types:

• Purchase price or subscription price of the solution.

• Implementation costs.

• Maintenance costs (preventive and corrective).

• Training and ownership costs.

Talenteev Labs has established a tool named the « Cost Atom » to present all the costs for the audited solutions.
