David Brodie

2014 School Captains:

Brittany Meyland &

Brock Austin.

The year got off to a fun and wet start at

Aquamoves for the first Cluster Day.

The Grade 5/6s enjoyed a

performance of the Wedding

Singer put on by Wanganui

Park SC. Our students got a

lot out of speaking to the

performers/stage crew

afterwards in preparation for

our own school production

which will be held later on in

the year.

Foundation to Grade 4

students enjoyed the Ky

Fauna Park to enhance

their Term 2 theme of

Australian Animals.

Biggest Morning Tea incorporating

Grandparents/Special Friends Day,

was a great social event for our

students and we were able to raise

$177.50 for the Cancer Council.

The Polycom Device which is a new interactive tool

to the school this year, has been used to participate in

various Science lessons given by off-site experts, and

interact with students in other Victorian schools.

Tally PS students raised $80

for Red Balloon Day

which they proudly donated

to the Tallygaroopna CFA.

Bike Ed has continued this year under the

expert guidance of Mrs Montgomery. The

Program culminated in a Grade 5/6 On-Road

Test and a Grade 6 bike ride.

Our Big Write sessions are

inspiring some great writing

pieces from all of our students

and helping them to become

more confident writers.

Our Movie and Pizza Night was a great chance for

families to relax and socialize while children enjoyed

the movie Frozen in their pjs and cuddled up to their

teddies.

Our Outside School Hours Care is available

after school until 6pm on Wednesdays,

Thursdays and Fridays and is a very useful

service for our working families.

Play Group has been very

popular this year. It is held

every second Thursday and

run by Mrs Wallace in the

Multipurpose Room.
