La velocidad, el consumo y el exceso tecnológico se han convertido en los parámetros fundamentales del mundo contemporáneo. En un contexto semejante, en el que dichas realidades han quedado supeditadas a la generación de beneficios económicos constantes, se hace urgente plantear una pregunta: ¿Qué lugar les queda a la pintura y a la poesía como vías de aproximación a la existencia en pleno siglo XXI? En un viaje sin destino fijo, el pintor Antón Lamazares se encuentra con distintos amigos y familiares junto a los cuales reflexiona en torno a algunas cuestiones decisivas como la espiritualidad, la infancia, el tiempo, la aldea, la memoria o la muerte.

Speed, consumerism and technology have become the main bench marks for the 21st century. In a context where all these realities are submited to the generation of financial profit, we have no choice but to ask: What space is left for poetry, painting and art as ways of approaching existence? On a never-ending journey with no certain destination, the artist Antón Lamazares comes across friends and relatives to reflect on memories, violence, creation, time and death: all fundamental matters when we try to find an answer to this question.

Billy (William Burroughs) cruza el estrecho y llega a la ciudad donde escribirá The Naked Lunch y se encuentra con personajes de la talla de Paul y Jane Bowles, Brion Gysin… La relaciones de esta bohemia en este “cielo del infierno” son creativas, divertidas, libérrimas y lisérgicas, pero en el fondo están en el umbral de un territorio terrible: el enigma cerebral que apasiona y destruye, ama y odia, el lugar del auto-armisticio para algunos o el final de las esperanzas para otros, la ciudad de los espejos internos.

2006 - POR UN PUÑADO DE SUEÑOS 2013 - EL TARTESSOS DE SCHULTEN En las primeras décadas del siglo XX, la búsqueda de Tartessos

se convirtió en una obsesión para un joven historiador alemán empeñado en ser el descubridor de una civilización nueva, origen de Europa, que según los viejos textos debía encontrarse bajo las arenas del Coto de Doñana, en el extremo de la Península Ibérica y todo el continente. Más allá de una aventura, aquel empeño iba a marcar la carrera de Adolf Schulten y la percepción que de Tartessos iba a tener la Ciencia durante décadas.

During the first decades of the 20th century, the search of Tartessos became an obsession for a young German historian who stubbornly wanted to be the discoverer of a new civilisation, the origin of Europe. According to ancient texts, it should be found beneath the sands of the Coto Doñana National Park, in the south-western end of the Iberian Peninsula, hence of the whole continent. Beyond an adventure, his determination would mark the career of Adolf Schulten and also the perception of science during decades over Tartessos.

Juan Bushwick es un cineasta de Nueva York que, después de unos años viviendo en Barcelona, se siente hundido en el aburrimiento. Por eso, comienza a filmar su vida esperando ciertas propiedades redentoras del dispositivo cinematográfico. Pero hacer una película personal no es suficiente para tener un trama en la vida. A veces las cosas no se dejan capturar con facilidad.

Juan Bushwick is a North-American filmmaker who, after a few years living in Barcelona, is desperately bored. He decides to start recording his life, expecting emotional guidance from the process. But making a personal film is not always enough to have a plot in one’s life. Sometimes things aren’t easily captured.

Plácido Meana fue un escritor segoviano y pulp de las décadas de los 60 y 70. Novelas del Oeste, guiones de películas baratas, cómics de superhéroes... Meana resultó un singular autor de lo más prolífico; sin embargo, no se sabe nada de él desde hace varios años. Álvaro, Neves y Xaquín, conocedores de su paradero, viajan desde Galicia a Madrid para realizar un documental sobre el escritor. Nada más conocerle, conocen también el gran secreto de Plácido Meana. Los acontecimientos que se precipitarán desde ese momento, darán lugar a una comedia coral, lisérgica y frenética, repleta de excéntricos personajes e insólitas situaciones.

Plácido Meana was a Segovian author and pulp fiction writer in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. Cowboy novels, scripts for low-cost films, superhero comics … Meana was a highly prolific, unique author but, however, nothing is known of him for several years now. Álvaro, Neves and Xaquín, having discovered his whereabouts, set out from Galicia to Madrid to film a documentary on the writer. No sooner do they meet him than they also find out Plácido Meana’s great secret. Ensuing events from that moment on lead to a chorale, hallucinatory, frenetic comedy, bristling with eccentric characters and unusual situations.

Nacho regresa a su casa de madrugada. Es un veterinario que ha estado todo el día trabajando en la finca de su suegro inseminando vacas. Al llegar, culmina un desencuentro con su esposa. Nacho parece que tiene otras preocupaciones en la cabeza. A la mañana siguiente una llamada de teléfono le anuncia que cinco novillos han desaparecido de la hacienda. Todo indica que alguien los ha robado. A partir de ese momento y, gracias a las seis mujeres que han sido importantes en su vida, el espectador irá conociendo no sólo el desarrollo de los acontecimientos, también la compleja personalidad de Nacho.

Nacho is a down and out veterinarian, who seeks advice from the most important women in his life –his lover, his ex-wife, his mother, his sister-in-law and his psychologist– after his scheme to steal five horses from his father-in-law falls apart. Guillermo es un estudiante de Marketing cuya verdadera pasión es el surf. Desde que conoció a Daniela, una estudiante de Bellas Artes y apasionada de la fotografía, no puede dejar de pensar en ella. Un día encuentra un carrete de fotos que, al revelar, resulta tener varias imágenes que le llevan a comenzar una investigación peligrosa para tratar de averiguar qué hay detrás de esas fotografías. En los años 50, los gitanos de Triana fueron echados del barrio. En 1983 se reunirían para su última gran fiesta. Este gozoso film inédito celebra el fin de una “estirpe indomable” en una velada única de flamenco y alegría hecha oda a un mundo desaparecido. Un impagable documento que recuerda a Sevilla que tuvo una ilustre gitanería y que, al perderla, perdió su swing flamenco.

In the 50s, the gypsies in Triana were thrown out of the neighborhood. In 1983 they got back together for their last big celebration. This previously unseen joyous film celebratest heend of an “indomitable lineage” in a unique evening of flamenco and delight transformed into an ode to a lost world. A priceless documentary that reminds Seville that it once had an illustrious gypsy area and that, when it lost that, it lost its flamenco swing.

En el año setenta y tres, a finales del franquismo, MercèRodoreda, una de las autoras europeas más importantes del siglo veinte, coincide en Ginebra, donde vivía, con el crítico literario y editor Josep MariaCastellet y le invita a merendar en su casa. La famosa escritora, ciertamente un personaje recóndito, guardaba el secreto de todo lo que la concernía, se había convertido ella misma en secreto o, quizás, incluso, en productora de secretos. Iñaki y Mateo son amigos de toda la vida a los que siempre ha unido sus “escapadas” a la montaña. El tiempo ha pasado y cada uno ha tirado por su lado. Los dos se casaron y tuvieron hijos pronto, pero mientras que Iñaki ha prosperado, la vida de Mateo es un rotundo fracaso. Después de mucho tiempo sin verse deciden recordar viejos tiempos y pasar un largo fin de semana en la montaña esta vez junto a sus hijos. Una comedia moderna sobre la amistad, la superación, la relación entre padres e hijos y las pequeñas y grandes aventuras que afrontamos a lo largo de la vida.

Iñaki and Mateo are lifelong friends of those who have always joined the mountain getaways. Mateo is crazy and visceral. Iñaki is prudent and formal. They are both day and night but when they take the field nothing separates or no mountain can resist them. Time has passed and everyone has thrown him. En 1976, un anciano llamado Braulio García se instala en un pequeño hotel de Pravia, en el centro de Asturias. Ha regresado a la región tras varias décadas como emigrante en los Estados Unidos y pronto se hace popular en el pueblo por las historias que narra a sus amigos y que corren por las calles de la vecindad hasta la prensa regional: Braulio es el padre de un artista de Hollywood que vendrá a visitarlo en unas semanas. Un profesor que utiliza las canciones de los Beatles para enseñar inglés en la España de 1966, se entera de que John Lennon está en Almería rodando una película. Decidido a conocerle, emprende el camino y en su ruta recoge a un chico de 16 años que se ha fugado de casa y a una joven de 21 que aparenta estar también escapando de algo. En el marco común de Internet suceden varias historias que tienen lugar en distintas ciudades del mundo. Son historias de amor, desamor, amistad, superación personal, sexo, crímenes, espionaje informático, políticas, aparentemente inconexas, con algo en común: la soledad de sus protagonistas, y que poco a poco de manera casual irán confluyendo unas con otras. Entre nuestros protagonistas, unos viven su propia realidad, casi siempre reducida al universo paralelo y exclusivo que les proporciona Internet, mientras que otros optan por fantasear, quizá para sentirse libres y realizados, quizá para dar rienda suelta a sus fantasmas personales. Unos y otros parecen convencidos de que el mundo virtual del ciberespacio es el nuevo hogar de la mente, donde los gobiernos no pueden ejercer su soberanía, y ellos pueden existir y manifestarse libremente. En el ciberespacio todo es posible. Un psicólogo que busca en Internet información para un trabajo clínico que está realizando sobre las "nuevas adicciones" de la sociedad actual será el hilo conductor y detonante de cada una de las historias. Para él, tienen un especial interés aquellos individuos que prácticamente no tienen otra manera de relacionarse. Pero, a medida que avanza en el estudio, su interés irá en aumento y también su dedicación. Poco a poco se verá atrapado en la Red, abandonando otras actividades de su vida cotidiana. En suma, se trata de una historia poliédrica e hiperrealista, aunque con licencias poéticas en la narración, construida en su mayor parte con imágenes robadas, a veces eróticas, sexualmente explícitas, a veces sórdidas, inquietantes, grotescas, también divertidas o informativamente impactantes. Un cóctel hecho de sexo, soledad, suspense, rabia,

Un ex-combatiente de las guerras balcánicas -convertido ahora en un vagabundo alcoholizado- sueña que es un árbol que crece dentro de las ruinas de su casa, destruida por un bombardeo. Durante el sueño, las raíces se le hunden en los orígenes de la solitaria masía en donde las bombas mataron a su padre y adonde regresan, después de muchos años de guerra, su madre y su hermana con la intención de reconstruirla. El tronco del sueño se nutre de recuerdos del desastre: Explosiones en el bosque, compañeros que flotan muertos por el rio, un perro fusilado, una mujer capturada, un prostíbulo militar instalado en un circo... Las ramas, en cambio, se le desdoblan en una simultaniedad de premoniciones que fructificarán en la visión de su hijo recién nacido, abandonado por la madre.

A Balkan War veteran who is now a homeless alcoholic dreams that he is a tree growing up through the ruins of his house, which was destroyed by a bombing.
