Tickfaw State Park is hosting its Annual Art Contest to promote art awareness and a general interest
in Louisiana nature and history
We will accept artwork of any medium on any color of unlined paper up to size 12 X 18 The subject must include some degree of Louisiana nature or history including animals trees landscapes people or events The artwork may be mounted or matted Its presentation however will not be counted towards judging Judging will be based upon the artists creativity originality and overall ability in respect to hisher age group
Winners will be chosen from the following age groups K-1 2-3 4-6 7-9 and 10-12 If too few entries are entered in a specific age group prizes may not be awarded Teachers please limit entries to what you feel are the top 10-20 submissions in each age group The winning entries as well as any other chosen artworks will be displayed indefinitely in the Nature Center at Tickfaw State Park All entries become property of Tickfaw State Park but teachers may pick up non-displayed entries after April 1 st till April 30th

Tickfaw State Park is hosting its Annual Art Contest to promote art awareness and a general interest
in Louisiana nature and history
We will accept artwork of any medium on any color of unlined paper up to size 12 X 18 The subject must include some degree of Louisiana nature or history including animals trees landscapes people or events The artwork may be mounted or matted Its presentation however will not be counted towards judging Judging will be based upon the artists creativity originality and overall ability in respect to hisher age group
Winners will be chosen from the following age groups K-1 2-3 4-6 7-9 and 10-12 If too few entries are entered in a specific age group prizes may not be awarded Teachers please limit entries to what you feel are the top 10-20 submissions in each age group The winning entries as well as any other chosen artworks will be displayed indefinitely in the Nature Center at Tickfaw State Park All entries become property of Tickfaw State Park but teachers may pick up non-displayed entries after April 1 st till April 30th
bull Winners will be notified by March 31 2013 Prizes awarded to the winners will be mailed or can be picked up by teachers 1st prize will be a Tickfaw State Park T-shirt

in Louisiana nature and history
We will accept artwork of any medium on any color of unlined paper up to size 12 X 18 The subject must include some degree of Louisiana nature or history including animals trees landscapes people or events The artwork may be mounted or matted Its presentation however will not be counted towards judging Judging will be based upon the artists creativity originality and overall ability in respect to hisher age group
Winners will be chosen from the following age groups K-1 2-3 4-6 7-9 and 10-12 If too few entries are entered in a specific age group prizes may not be awarded Teachers please limit entries to what you feel are the top 10-20 submissions in each age group The winning entries as well as any other chosen artworks will be displayed indefinitely in the Nature Center at Tickfaw State Park All entries become property of Tickfaw State Park but teachers may pick up non-displayed entries after April 1 st till April 30th

in Louisiana nature and history
We will accept artwork of any medium on any color of unlined paper up to size 12 X 18 The subject must include some degree of Louisiana nature or history including animals trees landscapes people or events The artwork may be mounted or matted Its presentation however will not be counted towards judging Judging will be based upon the artists creativity originality and overall ability in respect to hisher age group
Winners will be chosen from the following age groups K-1 2-3 4-6 7-9 and 10-12 If too few entries are entered in a specific age group prizes may not be awarded Teachers please limit entries to what you feel are the top 10-20 submissions in each age group The winning entries as well as any other chosen artworks will be displayed indefinitely in the Nature Center at Tickfaw State Park All entries become property of Tickfaw State Park but teachers may pick up non-displayed entries after April 1 st till April 30th

Tickfaw State Park is hosting its Annual Art Contest to promote art awareness and a general interest
in Louisiana nature and history
We will accept artwork of any medium on any color of unlined paper up to size 12 X 18 The subject must include some degree of Louisiana nature or history including animals trees landscapes people or events The artwork may be mounted or matted Its presentation however will not be counted towards judging Judging will be based upon the artists creativity originality and overall ability in respect to hisher age group
Winners will be chosen from the following age groups K-1 2-3 4-6 7-9 and 10-12 If too few entries are entered in a specific age group prizes may not be awarded Teachers please limit entries to what you feel are the top 10-20 submissions in each age group The winning entries as well as any other chosen artworks will be displayed indefinitely in the Nature Center at Tickfaw State Park All entries become property of Tickfaw State Park but teachers may pick up non-displayed entries after April 1 st till April 30th
bull Winners will be notified by March 31 2013 Prizes awarded to the winners will be mailed or can be picked up by teachers 1st prize will be a Tickfaw State Park T-shirt

Who The Joe W and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation Service Learning Program offers service learning awards to schools to apply what is learned in the classroom to intentional service in the community The awards are non-competitive and more than one teacher from a school may apply We offer free one-hour service learning application workshops Teachers and other school staff are invited to attend at any location
What This is an open invitation to attend a workshop to fearn about service learning and how to apply for service learning funds for your school for the 2013-2014 school year There is no charge to attend the workshop or to receive a service learning binder of information
Where and When Attached is a workshop schedule for January 2013 Service Learning applications are due by mail between now and Friday March 8 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year The schedule of service learning workshops and the application form are online at
