President’s MessageHello Everyone,

It’s closing in on the end of April and I hope you are all well and thriving during this unprecedented time. COVID-19 has taken over many parts of our lives and occupies our thoughts in ways we would not have imagined just two months ago.

Today, social distancing is a familiar term. We are spending more time in our homes, businesses are closed, and no one thinks twice if you enter a bank wearing a ski mask and gloves. Sadly, there are also many of us who know someone who has been affected either directly or indirectly by the reach of this pandemic. Things changed very quickly, didn’t they?

Here at Tanglewood, we have taken measures to protect both community safety and the Association’s financial security. You may have noticed some of the changes. Our clubhouses and pools are closed, and our community wide Dumpster Day/Spring Clean-ing event has been cancelled. In addition, our office is also closed, and we are no longer accepting payments at that location. All assessments must be mailed directly to our accountant, Murphy, Murphy and Murphy. Our board meetings have been cancelled until further notice, yet the affairs of the Association continue to be well managed and moving forward. People are asking, “What about the Paseo de Oro pool project?” Well, the good news is progress con-tinues and the permit is in the final approval stage. Once we receive the permit, construction is ready to begin and I have been assured it’s a fairly quick process from that point on. I sure hope we are out and moving around freely by the time the pool is ready to open! In spite of how our day to day life has changed, throughout our association people are looking out for one another and even while maintaining a social distance, our community is continuing to find ways to stay connected. This newsletter is brief. We wanted to share a bit of news, some happy pictures, and just really encourage you to keep going strong. I think about how we are all living what will one day be a historical event. To the extent possible, let’s embrace every minute of this experience. Once it is over, we will soon forget, and historians will be left to recreate the time we lived and laughed, and probably ate too much and won-dered if it would ever end. If you’d like to participate, simply place a stuffed bear in a window of your home so when residents take walks or are driving in our neighborhood during this quarantine, they can hunt for bears. Communities around the nation are participating in bear hunts for their neighbors to enjoy. This is a great time to have a little fun while you practice social distancing.Let’s aLL join in

the fun!
