WHO IS MY TARGET

WHAT AGE AND GENDER?

• My music magazine shall be for anyone who is interested in the genre of indie music and likes certain celebrities such as Arctic Monkeys, The Courteeners and The Vaccines.

• Any age is welcome however the most popular audience would be a younger audience due to older people enjoying a different type of music such as jazz and opera.

• By including the latest fashion highlights the audience is aimed at a younger audience because older people wear more formal and comfortable clothes. However younger people choose to look a certain way and wear particular clothes which are inspired by their idols which reflects their music taste.

• The gender is for boys and girls because indie music is for a mixed audience. Girls will be attracted to certain celebrities such as Alex Turner in Arctic Monkeys but boys might admire the way he dresses and like him for his style.

HOW TO YOU GENERATE INCOME AND WHAT CLASS?

• Due to indie magazines being cheap and range between £3-£5 it is aimed at a younger audience due to it not being expensive as teenagers have a small income.

• Teenagers will most likely have a part time job and will be in a service industry so they will be able to use their money to buy the magazine.

• If the magazine was’nt as cheap it would be for an older audience because they will earn more money and be able to afford it.

• The target class will be working class because it is ranged at an affordable amount and the average price so people who have a job at minimum wage will be able to buy it.

WHAT INTERESTS MUST YOU HAVE?

• You must be interested in the type of music I am featuring which is Indie and the celebrities who create this type of music.

• You must also like and dress a certain way which reflects your music taste for example for indie you wear certain clothes which aren’t as smart, have a laid back and casual overview which are different and stand out.

• It will feature gigs of the celebrities featured within my music magazine and are motivated to save up to afford the tickets as they can be expensive. They vary from £20-£100 however because the public is told the date of tickets being released months before, it gives the younger audience time to save up money and be able to attend.

WHAT WILL MAKE THE

AUDIENCE MOTIVATED TO

BUY?• It will include the latest information on

certain celebrities, interviews to get to know a celebrities personality more, songs being leaked or released and new images.

• Hints as to what is in my next music magazine will make the audience want to buy next weeks as they want to find out certain information.
