Layout/Flat PlansThis is the flat plan and layout of the inside of the simple leaflet idea, I have ensured that they layout is similar to existing leaflets so that the reader can read the text easily and so that it flows while reading. The layout is very simple and modern but allows the audience to be able to read it and it also fits very well with the modern theme throughout my work.I also wanted to add more ways of including text instead of just using square text boxes so I included callouts.

This is the flat plan and layout of the outside of the simple leaflet idea, I again wanted to make sure that my target audience were able to read the text easily so compared it with existing leaflets and changed some parts.I have added text boxes again but given them a rounded edge to fit in with the modern theme and also make it look more interesting for the reader and so it appeals to the target audience.

Layout/Flat PlansThis is the flat plan and layout for the more interesting leaflet and bookmark. This leaflet is more interesting because it is different from most leaflets and slightly interactive because I have added a bookmark on the side. This layout again ensures that the audience are able to read the leaflet easily because it flows well.I have also made some text more interesting by embedding it into the roof of the house.

Layout/Flat PlansThis is the flat plan and layout for my business card idea although there is not much text to read on this product I have still tried to make the text flow so that the audience can read it well.I have kept the same layout throughout all of the printed products to make sure they are recognised by the public.I have again used a simple text box because this product is a little more mature than the previous products.

FontsThroughout my products both print and other types of media I have decided to stick with a modern, simple serif font. This allows the audience to be able to read the text on my products easily, it also suits the target audience because it is mature and modern it also makes the products appealing to the general public as well as my target audience. For some of the titles in my products I have used a different font which is still very simple and modern to suit the theme and consistency of my products, The colour of the titles and subheadings throughout is green to tie in with the main colour of SASH and other parts of text are all in black again to suit the theme and the simplicity and also the maturity.

Images

I have chosen these types of images to target children and families because they are not too disturbing or sad, it makes the charity look friendly and keeps the mood calm whilst the audience are reading.

These images were chosen to communicate with the general public, I have chosen these because they are not too depressing but it lets the audience know how serious the issue is and that it is happening, I have also chosen them because they can manipulate the emotions of the reader.

The images chosen here represent friendliness and happiness which is why I have chosen them because I want my products to convey that message to the volunteers.

For the teenage audience which is my main audience I have used images of homeless youths to connect with the reader and these images are also emotive to any audience who se them.

Colour scheme I have decided to include bright colours throughout the family aimed products to catch the eye of the target audience and draw them in. I also chose these colours because they represent happiness and most of them are primary colours which are associated with children.

These colours are very simple and boring to tie in with the serious theme, I used these for the public aimed products because they show how dull a homeless persons life can be and also show the seriousness. These colours also reflect sadness and depression which is what most homeless people feel.

I have decided to use bold and bright colours to represent the product targeted at volunteers and hosts because the colours are friendly and bright which draws the audience in and gives the charity a friendly feel.

For the products targeted at teenagers and young adults I wanted to use bright colours to attract the target audience and make it eye catching but also dark colours to convey the sad and serious message.

Page 10: Task 8

I have chosen to create the house shaped leaflet because it got the best response from the target audience and I thought it was the most creative and interesting. This leaflet includes information about what SASH is and also a couple of stories from real young people who have been helped through SASH, I think this is good because it lets the audience know that youth homelessness is happening now and how serious it is.I decided to write about what SASH is in the roof of the shape to make it more interesting and so that my product didn't look too bare. The best part about this product i think is the detachable bookmark on the side which also creates a chimney shape for the house, I added this due to the information I gathered from my survey which shows that not many young people have heard of SASH, creating a portable advert for it allows young people to see it everyday and talk about it, I also added the basic contact information to the bookmark along with social media addresses.Again I have used the same font and colours throughout my products to keep a running theme and make sure that my products are all recognisable by the public and
