Job Title: Compressed Air SpecialistReports To: Service ManagerFLSA Status: Non ExemptDepartment: ServiceDivision: ServiceLocation: Varies
DESCRIPTION: The Compressed Air Specialist is responsible for the diagnosis and repair of compressors and compressor parts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes the following and other duties that may be assigned
Attend require vendor training and company sponsored classes
Maintain truck stock inventory- repair parts, related records concerning time, labor, material and logs of tasks performed.
Prepare service tickets for all work performed
Assist inside sales or sales by identifying and reporting sales leads
Assist with training less experienced personnel
Maintain vehicle inside and out in a clean manner
Drive in a manner that adheres to Tate’s Fleet Safety program
Submit Technician leads as applicable
Troubleshoot and repair industrial compressor equipment at various customer locations
Perform and sell preventative maintenance agreements on customer machines
Perform Compressor piping installation and basic electrical terminations
Conduct warranty repairs for Manufacturer’s represented
Interface with the customer to understand the overall objectives’, requirements and needs.
Serve as a point of escalation for issues or activities that a customer may encounter during product or service utilization

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSTwo years or more of experience with compressed air equipment, ancillary equipment and systems is required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and equipment drawings (IS, P&ID and wiring).
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Basic computer operation including email and App based program is required.
The employee must be able to list and or move up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to teach and lead others is necessary. Technical knowledge of mechanical products is desirable. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn is required.
