Have you ever wondered if there could be a creature with giant ears on a head like body? Have you ever wondered if could have started in the movie Finding Nemo? That’s right it’s the dumbo octopus! The Dumbo octopus is the octopus that got it’s name from the flying elephant with big ears because of it’s giant ears on its head like body.

Is that the walt Disney character dumbo? No! It’s the dumbo octopus. Is it green or is it red? Can it be orange? In fact, it can be all those colours. It can also grow up to 8 inches tall, so it’s a pretty small creature. The longest dumbo octopus ever was 6 feet long and its weight was 13 pounds wow! That’s a fat octopus

Appearance

Did you know that the dumbo octopus had 20 different species? But, now there are only 14 different species so people say that 6 are extinct.

FUN FACT :

Since the dumbo octopus is a deep sea creature it does not have many predators because it’s habitat is so remote. It’s only predators are very deadly and they are the goblin sharks, killer whales and the most worst being the dragon shark.
