The center has ceramic pieces, paints and brushes for you to practice with. Let us know ahead of time if you are interested in attending open ceramics on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. Someone will meet you there to share basic ceramic skills. Minding Motion: Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Through creative movement and music this class increases cognitive function, range of motion, balance and strength. Special Presentation: Battling the Aging Brian by Humana Tuesday, June 19th at 11:00 a.m. The brain is one of the most complex organs in the human body. Taylorsville Senior Center offers various programs to help boost your brain power. You can join an exercise class to strengthen the interconnections between nerves, come make new friends and social connections to stay mentally active and fight cognitive decline, or try challenging your mind by learning a new language, musical instrument or other skill. Some classes at Taylorsville Senior Center specifically geared to increase brain power are:
