TEACHER/REFERENCE APPROVAL FORM The Perot Museum of Nature and Science Discovery Corps Camp Assistant teen volunteer program exists to foster student interest in science, nature and technology by placing exceptional STEM minded teens in areas where they can interact with and teach Museum guests and camp children. Discovery Corps is open to teens entering 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade; they must be 14 years of age before they start volunteering. Participants in Discovery Corps spend one week assisting the Perot Museum’s Educational staff with science themed camps, design a group project that could be used by Museum staff or guest, and interact with guests in Museum exhibit halls. Discovery Corps participants should be highly interested in science and technology with a desire to help and educate others. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science wants to ensure that we provide the best possible experience for our guests and camper children. We ask that you review the following statements and approve your student for this type of interaction.
