• Right on the Sea of China in Shangdong province, the city of Yantai is a clean and convenient place to live.

• With a population around 7 million, you’ll find all the modern conveniences of city life, with many foreign goods available.

• The climate is temperate, with mild weather and many days of clear, blue sky.

Our CityOur CityTop left is the Yantai boardwalk, a great place to walk, bike or go for a run. Bottom left is one of the many gardens in bloom in May. Right is a local street in a residential area.

TransportationTransportationYantai also boasts an excellent transit system. The local airport and train station allow you to easily travel all over China.

The bullet train, capable of travelling over 200km/h is also available here. Both the bullet train and flights are affordable.

The city’s bus system is reliable and cheap. Along with affordable taxis, getting around Yantai is quite easy, even for those who speak no Chinese.

ShoppingShoppingFor those that love shopping, you’ll be right at home. Yantai has many malls, including lots of foreign stores and brands.

Yantai is also ready for Christmas and Halloween shopping.

Our School is part of a large, modern campus in one of the top schools in the city. We are close to a gate and right beside both a sports field and the cafeteria, which provides a good variety of cheap, healthy food.

CYSS (Canadian Yantai Secondary School) has brand new facilities fully equipped with AV equipment in every classroom. We also have a full computer lab and are developing our own library learning commons.
