Bring your team along for an action-packed afternoon of competitive fun here at Archery Park. Compete for best

archer on our range, and try your skills at lifelike game and fantasy targets. Or split into teams and battle it out in

an epic archery battle, or both… as you wish!

To mark the occasion and reward the most deserving, we provide medals or trophies for the organiser to give out

to the most legendary competitor.

You and your team receive full training, and all Health and Safety aspects are completely covered. And we’re only

15 minutes from central Nelson!

Location

Archery Park is only 15min drive from Nelson central. We

are located at the Cable Bay Adventure Park on 194 Cable

Bay Road.

Our target range is a 5min walk from the free car park and

offers a shaded shooting area - which is great for those hot

summer days. 2 pick-nick benches are on site to watch and

relax.

Take some time out from your busy days by learning a new

skill while being surrounded by a bubbly stream, large

trees, bird sounds and green hills.

Markus and his team are great teachers and very willing to help and make sure everyone is

having a great time. They have a number of different options on how the day can run and what

activities to do and cater to each group individually. Lastly was an amazing setting with great

shade from the summer sun.

Your Archery Coach

Markus will be the archery coach for your team. He has 18

years of experience in traditional archery and is a certified

New Zealand Field Archery Coach (NZFAA). He has coached

hundreds of archers and has a great talent to teach anyone

the basics of archery.

Markus became 2nd in the 2018 3D Bowhunter Nationals

and holds the current New Zealand record for most points

scored on a 20 * 3D archery field course with a historic bow.

He is a member of the International Field Archery

Association, New Zealand Field Archery Association,

Traditional Archery Society and New Zealand Bowhunter

Health and Safety

Archery is one of the safest sports with a reported injury rate of less than one incident per 1,000 participants in

2004. Other activities like golf and fishing have an injury rate of up to 1.5 to 2 times the rate for archery. Sports

like soccer, baseball and basketball have injury rates 15 to 25 times higher than archery.

Main risks in archery are equipment failure and people not complying with safety rules, which puts them and

others at risk.

We are happy to share our H&S Manual and online risk and incident register with you on request.

Awesome afternoon's (safe) entertainment

What a great afternoon we had with Markus and the team. We had a group of 18 adults, male

and female, for a friendly competition. We had four rounds of archery battle, where we were

actually firing, rubber ended arrows at each other. Painless and fun. Then we went on to classic

long bow archery, on a range.

We finished off the afternoon at the cafe with great pizza and nice cold beer. Great value, great

Booking Process

After we have scheduled a date and time with you, we will issue you an invoice for a 25% deposit or a minimum of

$50 to secure your booking.

Christmas Functions As you can imagine we get really busy over Christmas. Please contact us as soon as you can and schedule a date

with us as soon as possible. And note that we can only hold dates that have a paid deposit.

Our calendar starts filling up for the busy December and November period as early as August.

Lunch or Dinner at Cable Bay Cafe

You’ll have worked up quite an appetite over the course of the action-packed afternoon. So, to wind down after

your archery activity, we can arrange a table at the on-site Cable Bay Adventure Park Cafe. BBQ for $25 p.P. and

Woodfired Pizza for $16 each are always a favourite. We make sure you have a seamless experience, with food

ready by the time you’re finished at the archery range.

We can issue you with one single invoice for your archery activity and Café costs. An extra 5% fee of the Café costs

will be charged for our co-ordination activities.

Alternatively, you can schedule your booking and organise payment directly with the Café.

It’s a special day when you get your team together, so why

stop at a basic event? We will make it extra special for you!

After an introduction into archery for all your team

members we will shoot at special archery targets which will

be setup on our target range. These targets include lifelike

looking game archery targets and a duel archery target.

To round things off and to wrap up your visit we will hold

an archery tournament between all participants. Our highly

sought-after medals will be handed to the most senior staff

member to award to the 3 best archers in a final award

ceremony.

2 Ultimate Team Building: Light Package + Archery Battle

After a safety briefing to your team we begin with archery

lessons at our target range. Once everyone is trained, we

play a few rounds of Archery Battle. This is like dodge ball,

but with bow and arrow (safety arrows and protective

masks), it's fast and fun and a team sport for all ages - and

unlike paintball it doesn't hurt and leaves no messy paint

marks.

Afterwards it is back to the target range where the newly

acquired skills are put to the test with an archery

tournament, using standard and special fun archery targets.

To round up the activities we will award the best archers with our highly sought-after medals that are handed over

to the most senior staff for the award ceremony.

For groups bigger than 15 we may form sub-groups and put them into rotation to save on time and to keep

everyone busy and engaged.

3 Budget Friendly Option: Have-A-Go at Archery

Hire our target archery range and give your team an

introduction into archery. Our coach Markus will be on site

and after a health and safety briefing, he will show you the

basics in how to shoot bow and arrow. All required archery

equipment is included. Standard round face archery targets

will be setup in 10m distance.

Archers will be supervised by Markus for safety reasons.

Archery Battle is a competitive, fun and fast archery action game that puts all your skills to the test. Think of Archery Battle as a cross between Dodge Ball, Paintball and Archery. It’s great for teams and groups.

Archery Battle is Archery Parks take on the popular game of Combat Archery. Varieties exist under the brands Archery Tag, Archery Attack, Dodge Bow and others.

- Archery Battle team sport with up to 12 players at the same time. Any extra players will either become subs or if

enough form a 3rd or even 4th team to play in rotation.

Plan 1 hour minimum per group of up to 12 people. E.g. 8 people: 1 hour – 12 people: 1 hour, 18 people: 1.5 hours

Archery Battle Player

5 Dragon Hunt Adventure Tour for Small Teams of up to 10 people

The Dragon Hunt is our ultimate archery adventure and has

100% 5-star reviews online – with over 70 reviews received

since we started just over a year ago.

After initial training on our archery range we take a hike

into a 120-hectare large native bush section where we have

lifelike looking game and fantasy archery targets placed

along a 2.5 km tramping track.

Your team will learn to “hunt” with bow and arrow and

have an awesome day in the most amazing native bush

where giant native trees, abundant birdlife and Nelson’s cleanest stream await you.

Usually limited to a maximum of 6 people we will take up to 10 people with us on this adventure for private

bookings only.

This is a great gift to your staff as all participants of the Dragon Hunt are added to the list of qualified archers and

can return in the future and go on their own with a day ticket.

Cancellation Policy

• For bookings cancelled more than 14 days prior to the booked event, there will a $50 charge and some booking

fees and charges may not be able to be refunded. In these cases, a partial refund will be given less the booking

fees or charges.

• For bookings cancelled more than 7 days but less than 14 days prior to the departure time, there will be a 50%

refund.

• For bookings cancelled within 7 days prior to the booked event, or in the case of a ‘no show’, you will be

charged the full cost.

• No shows or lower participant numbers than booked arriving on the day will be charged at the agreed price.

• Archery Park Ltd reserves the right to apply discretion in special circumstances.

• Cancelled events on our behalf (due to weather, illness, unforeseen circumstances etc.) will be eligible for a full

refund.
