Highway Emergency Response Operator (HERO)
Program
• Free roadside assistance program provides aid to
stranded motorists and minimizes traffic congestion
• Drivers can call 974-HERO (4376) for assistance with
their own vehicle or on behalf of other stranded
motorists

federal and state funds

The replacement of the tolling equipment on the Fort Bend Parkway provided the opportunity to:
• Improve safety to the traveling public by eliminating ramp plazas
• Eliminate unused cash lanes and remove barriers and other obstacles
• Modernize the tolling equipment
• Create the ability to charge the same rate per mile regardless of where a driver enters or exits the road
• Cost to drive entire length remains unchanged at $1.80.

• Segment “A” – 6 ½ miles in length
• Opened on August 13th 2005
• From Fort Bend County Line to SH-99 (Grand Parkway)

Westpark Tollway – Project Underway • Westpark Extension
• Approximately 6 mile extension of frontage roads
• Approximately 2 mile extension of toll lanes
• 4 lane Blvd section from Cross Creek into Fulshear
• Project being led by County Engineering (not the toll road authority)
• Estimated start date 2015
• Completion in 2017-2018
• Toll System Conversion (complete in June ‘15)
