From Mrs Melinda Partridge (Principal’s) Desk...

80 Merit Reward:

This term’s 80 merit reward was held last Wednesday. Students were required to work in teams to win challenges. The winning team received a beautiful crown and voucher to be spent at Okie Dokie Café. Congratulations to all students who made it to this reward activity. The 100 merit reward will be held next Wednesday, 10th December.

League Tag:

This Thursday students in Kindergarten and Year 1 will participate in a League Tag session with Peter Stevens, the NRL Development Officer. A League Tag Gala Day for students in Years 2- 6 will be held this Friday 5th December at the Recreation Ground. All students should have received a permission note last Friday. These need to be returned to your child’s class teacher by Wednesday. Students are able to wear sporty mufti clothes.

Intensive Swimming:

Intensive swimming for Year 2 and selected students in Years 3-6 continues this week. Students participating will still have their lesson on Friday following the League Tag Gala Day.

Library Stock take:

The library is currently undertaking its annual stock take. Please return all borrowed books to the library as soon as possible.

Kindergarten Transition:

2015 Kindergarten students will participate in another full day of transition at “big school” on Friday. They are required to bring a sun safe hat, water bottle, fruit and a teddy for the “Teddy Bear’s Picnic” planned for during the day. Lunch and recess will be provided. Graduation will take place in the hall at 2pm. Parents may wish to collect their child at the conclusion of this ceremony. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school.

High School Transition:

Year 6 will be participating in a full day of high school transition tomorrow. Students will need to be dressed in full school uniform (Warialda Public School) and make their own arrangements to and from the high school. Miss Taber will be accompanying the students for the day. High school style lessons are planned, giving students a real “taste” of high school. A parent information night and BBQ is to be held tonight at 5pm at the high school.
