FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE OF THE HILITE OXYGENATORHILITE PRODUCT FAMILY - UNIQUE FEATURES

Medos offers a complete portfolio of high-performance oxygenators and

reservoirs for neonates up to adults and for a wide range of indications.

HILITE OXYGENATOR

The hilite oxygenators are equipped with microporous hollow fi ber

membranes (polypropylene fi ber) and are available in three sizes:

hilite 1000 for neonatal patients

hilite 2800 for pediatric patients

hilite 7000 for adult patients

HILITE AF 7000 OXYGENATOR

The hilite AF 7000 oxygenator is the fi rst member of the hilite product

family with a completely integrated arterial fi lter:

Optionally with blood inlet and outlet on opposite sides, or on the same

Every member of the hilite product family is available in different confi gura-

tions as a hilite system with adapted venous hardshell reservoir:

MVC 0730 venous hardshell reservoir for neonatal patients

MVC 1630 venous hardshell reservoir for pediatric patients

MVC 4030 venous hardshell reservoir for adult patients

HILITE LT OXYGENATOR

The hilite LT oxygenators are equipped with plasma-tight hollow fi ber

membranes (polymethylpentene fi ber) that prevent plasma leakage during

extended use and are available in three sizes:

hilite 800 LT for neonatal patients

hilite 2400 LT for pediatric patients

hilite 7000 LT for adult patients

POWERFUL IN GAS TRANSFER AND

HEAT EXCHANGE PERFORMANCE

The hilite product family provides consistent high peformance in both

gas transfer and heat exchange without the drawbacks of increased

membrane surface area. An optimized manufacturing process specifi cally

developed by Medos ensures an increase in effi ciency of the hollow-fi ber

membranes used.

EFFICIENT ELIMINATION OF AIR

Due to the optimized fl ow characteristics microbubbles rise to the head of

the oxygenator and are collected in the integrated venous bubble trap. These

microbubbles are clearly visible at all times and can be eliminated from the

oxygenator through a deairing line on the bubble trap.

MORE SAFETY

The unrestricted housing transparency provides maximum control through

visibility during the entire procedure. The specially designed arterial fi lter

(hilite AF) which is fully integrated into the oxygenator housing, effectively

retains additional microparticles and provides a higher level of safety.
