GENERAL REMARKS
These microphones and this way of amplification are based on our ideal situation. Of course, this will not be possible in every venue. When any of these microphones is not available, please replace by a
type with comparable quality. If this is not possible, please contact bandleader.
The Maaike den Dunnen Quintet likes to have a natural sound, as close as possible to playing acoustically. Therefore: if your venue is small, we prefer to play without amplification, except for vocals (PA) and anything else that matches the usual way of amplification in your venue.
Please make sure that all five band members are able to have eye-‐contact with each other.
Singer sometimes plays the piano herself (while singing). Therefore, please make sure that the pianist
is visible for the audience.
Please make sure there is time for at least a 30 minute sound check, preferably before the audience comes in.
Light: the musicians need a constant brightness to read the charts
Dynamics: not too loud please! (FOH as well as sound on stage)
