The Earth is surroundedby a staticmagnetic field of anaverage value of 500 mG and receives sporadic naturalmanifestations of solarmagnetic ejections. Therefore, li-vingbeingshavebeensubjectedovermillionsofyearstonaturalmagneticinfluences,whichprobablyhadandstillhaveaninfluenceondifferentbiologicalfunctions.

Whenmagnetic and electric fields are time-varying, theyform electromagnetic fields. The use of Electrical Powerand TelecommunicationsSystems introduces inworkingand domestic environments electromagnetic radiations(non-ionizing radiation) with wave frequencies rangingbetween100KHzto300GHz.

Theproliferationof thenumberofsourcesemittingelec-tromagnetic radiation has raised high concern and deepinterest to know the influence of this physical factor onhumanhealth.

Biological interactionThenatureof the interactionbetweenanelectromagneticradiationandbiologicalmatterdependson theemissionfrequency.

The above is corroborated by the EPA (EnvironmentalProtection Agency) and the IARC (International AgencyforResearchonCancer)andrecentlybytheWHO(WorldHealthOrganization).

Inshort,low-intensityelectromagneticradiationscanhaveanimpactfortheonsetanddevelopmentofcancer,affectthereproductivefunctions,causeallergiesanddepression,whichindicatesaclearinvolvementintheaffectionsoftheneuro-immune-endocrinesystem.

SCIENTIFIC STUDIES

Biochemical StudyThe Biomedical Research Center at the University ofGranada,Spain,(ResearchGroupCTS-101“intercelularcommunication”)hasconductedbiochemicalstudiesontheneutralizationof theharmful effectsof low-intensityradiationsonhumanorganisminorderassesstheeffec-tiveness of application of the technology developed byPrananTechnologies.

The study evaluated themarkers that aremost affectedby electromagnetic pollution: cortisol, melatonin, lipidperoxidation, nitric oxide, pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatorycytokines,theglutathionereduced/oxidizedratio,glutathioneperoxidase,glutathionereductase,su-peroxidedismutaseand6-sulfatoximelatonin.

Resultsaftertheevaluationofmarkerswereconclusive.

“Thelevelsofoxidativestressweresignificantlyreduced,highlighting the decline in lipid peroxidation LPO (P<0.01)andnitricoxideNOx(P<0.01)inplasma,indica-tingasubstantialimprovementoffreeradicaldamagetobodycells“.(Fig.1y2)

“The levels of reduced/oxidized gluthatione droppedsignificantly, indicating that the cell is better protectedagainstoxidativestress,demonstratingtheeffectivenessofPRANANTechnologiesdevices toreduce freeradicaldamagewithinthecell,whichisconsideredofenormousbenefitforhealthconditions”.(Fig.3)

Accordingly,after30daysusingPRANANdevicessystem,asignificantdecreaseinthechronicinflammatorystateofthesubjectswasobserved,asreflectedbythelowlevelsofnitrites and the INFg levels reduction.Wealsoobservedaslight increase in theanti-inflammatorycytokine IL-10.Thesedatashowanimprovementoftheoverallstateofthestudysubjects,beingthem,asaresult,underlowercondi-tionsofinflammatorystress.“(Fig.5)

RESULTS

The results in themarkers analyzed in this study (cortisol,melatonin, lipid peroxidation, nitric oxide, pro-inflammatory andanti-inflammatorycytokines,theglutathionereduced/oxidizedratio,glutathioneperoxidase,glutathionereductase,superoxidedismutaseand6-Sulfatoximelatonin)irrefutablyprovethatPrananTechnologiesdevicesusedinitareanexcellentmeansagainsttheunderlyingstateofoxidativestressandinflammation,correctingittoabetterstateofphysiologicalcontrolofthesubject,resultinginhisgoodhealthcondition.Itmustbetakeninmindthattheresultsherereportedhavebeenobtainedinapopulationofnormalsubjects,withnodiseasesordrugtherapy.Thus,insubjectswhopresentanoxidativestress/inflammatorycondition,thebeneficialeffectsofthePranan’sdeviceswouldbemorestriking.

Inshort,Pranan Technologies devices provideexcellent direct personal protection against the harmful effects of low intensity radiations (from mobile cell phones, wifi, cordless phones, phone masts) without causing any harmful side effects, resultinginbettersubject`sphysiologicalconditions.

RESEARCHPROJECTTHEEFFECTIVENESSOFPRANANDEVICES IN NEUTRALIZING THE HARMFUL EFFECTSOF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS ON THE BRAIN BIO-ELECTRICALACTIVITY

Effect of external inhibition (using Phiwaves and Phione devices) in electromagnetic exposures to radio frequencies emitted by mobile phones on the EEG brain bioelectrical activity

GLOBAL ANALYSIS1. InrelationtothebandsweseethattheICEM(Phioneand Phiwaves) primarily inhibits slow bands, with thehighest incidence in the delta band and has no greaterimpactonfastbands,mainlyonthebetaband,wheretheeffect is theopposite, as it increases.These resultsareassociated with neuronal function improvement by un-derstanding that generalized slowwaves are associatedwithhypofunctioningprocesseswhilefastbandshaveafunctionassociatedwithincreasedbrainactivity.

2. From the perspective of the brain asymmetry theICEM (Phione and Phiwaves) primarily inhibits HI inthewords task, typicalof thishemisphere, in theslowbands.Thisresult indicatesanneurofunctionalimpro-vement of HI which could result in improved verbalcognitivefunctionsassociatedwithsuchhemisphere.

3. FromthetopographicalperspectiveweseethattheICEM(PhioneandPhiwaves)inhibitsfrontandmedialbrainstructuresinslowbands,medialbrainstructuresin the alpha band and posterior cerebral structures inthebetaband.Thiscouldhaveahuge impact inmorecomplexcognitiveprocessesassociatedwiththosebra-in areas. On the other hand it sets an anteroposteriorpatterning in the organization of the functional dyna-mics of the brain oscillations that might demonstratenewprocessesofbrainfunctionbothinthebasalstateandduringcognitivetesting.

4. Fromthepointofviewofglobalinhibitionwefoundthat the ICEM (Phione and Phiwaves) inhibited about80% of brain areas in slow bands, enabling a globalneurofunctional improvementable tokeep thebrain intopconditionagainstdifferentbrainorbehavioralacti-vities. This data is key to demonstrating a significantimprovement at the neurofunctional level determiningneuronal better efficiency in any situation where thebrainhastogiveacognitiveresponse.

5. Significant differences are found in the inhibitionofdifferentEEGoscillationsindifferentbrainstructuresbetweenthebasalstateandthememorizationofwords,thereisgreaterinhibitionduringthetaskofmemorizingwordsglobally,beingtheinhibitionwithICEM(Phione

andPhiwaves)morespecificand intense.Thishasanimportant relevance since the use ofmobile phone isalways conducted using verbal language, if the ICEM(Phione and Phiwaves) is capable of inhibiting moreand better during listening words, the possibility ofneurofunctional improvement during verbal cognitivefunctionsperformedwithmobileusewillbemuchmoreefficientwhileusingtheICEM(PhioneandPhiwaves).

6. Significant differences in the Basal State: signi-ficant differences, with overall reduction on delta andtheta bands in limbic, subcortical and thalamic areas,responsibleofemotionalandmemoryprocesseswhileinalphaandbetabandsincreasesareobservedalterna-telyproducedoncorticalareaswith the ICEM(PhioneandPhiwaves).Thisresultinthebasalstateallowsun-derstanding the ICEMeffect in termsof improving theglobalfunctionaldynamicsofthebraininrestingstate(PhioneandPhiwaves).

7. Significant differences in words memory: signi-ficant differences of the EEG bands in the two expe-rimental conditions in the task of memorizing words;the reduction of energy is higher than in the basalstate condition when using the ICEM (Phione andPhiwaves). In taskofwordsmemorizing there is a re-duction of energy when using the ICEM in almost allthecerebralcortexinthedeltaband,whileinthethetabandenergyreductionisprimarilylocalizedinsubcor-tical areas; in the alpha band energy reduction usingthe ICEM (Phione and Phiwaves) is projected mainlyonthetemporalparietallobe.Finally,inthebetabandenergy increases when using the ICEM (Phione andPhiwaves). These results allow to understand the sig-

nificant improvement in theneuronalefficiencyduringverbalcognitivetasksperformedwiththemobilephone.

CONCLUSIONSTheICEM(PhioneandPhiwaves)hasasignificanteffectonalltestedbrainbands,beingitshighestincidenceinthe slow bands, both in the delta band as in the thetaband. Fast bandsmanifest different behaviors inwhichsignificantreductionsincertainbrainstructuresalterna-te combined with significant activations on other brainareas. Furthermore, the ICEM incidence (Phione andPhiwaves)affectsmostbrainareaswithahighincidenceinthelefthemisphere,especiallyinthetaskofwordsme-mory.The ICEMuse results in improved functionalca-pacityduringcognitivetasksandimprovedoverallbrainfunctionsinthebasalstate.TheeffectoftheICEM(Phio-neandPhiwaves)hassuchmagnitude,neurofunctionalconsistencyandsignificantdifferencesonalargemajo-rityofbrainareasthatwecanjustifyitseffectivenessinmodifyingcertainbrainoscillationsanditseffectivenessasaninhibitorofelectromagneticfields.
