Ideal for homeschoolers! Begin with classroom studies of basic proportion and careful observation to achieve likeness and form. Learn skills which address drawing accuracy and explore modern techniques that focus on expressiveness through a variety of media and approaches. Live models will be used in the final 3 sessions. Tuition includes model’s fee. Tuesdays, January 29 - March 5, 4-6pm (6 sessions) $95-Residents/$105-Non-Residents Corded Bracelets (for ages 12-17) with Donna Weeks NEW! In this one day workshop, enjoy working with satin or twisted cord as the base for your project. You choose the beads you like, and stitch them between the cords to form a ladder design. Add a button at the end for a clasp, and you’re finished. This workshop is easy and fun, but it does require the use of needle and thread. At the workshop, you will be required to pay a $5 materials fee which includes everything needed to create this fun project and use of tools. Thursday, March 28, 4-6pm (1 session) $15-Residents/$20-Non-Residents Comic Workshop for Teens (for ages 12-17) with Clinton White Have you ever wondered how to make awesome comics or how to draw in anime/manga style? Then, this is the workshop for you! Using live drawing demonstrations, discover how to draw and design characters in both western and Japanese “manga” comic book styles. Explore techniques for creating engaging characters, costumes and expressions. This workshop includes discussion, demonstration of basic story creation, and page layout. Have a great time creating your own unique comic book story! Mondays, January 28-March 11, 5-7pm (6 sessions) • No class 2/18 $80-Residents/$90-Non-Residents Drawing Techniques (for ages 13-17) with Paul Kerris NEW! If you have always wanted to draw, but have lacked the confidence to try, this is the class for you! Have fun exploring a variety of approachable drawing methods including a grid technique, a blocking method, and much more! This workshop will allow you to deal with a variety of subject matters.
