Congratulations to our MHS Students-In-Action Multiplying

Good Jefferson Award Winners for the 1st Semester of 2019-2020

Mrs. Rachel Robinson—Teacher Ms. Vivian Jennings—Community

Teacher: Mrs. Robinson was chosen to receive this prestigious award for multiplying good within MHS. She started the Sisterhood club for girls in order to help others. The club has monthly meetings of dialogue about wom-anhood and respect, and aims to have girls supporting other girls. They have guest speakers, and support other MHS organizations with community service projects. She is having a positive impact on the girls at MHS, and is an inspiration to others to do the same. We hope her inspiration will generate ripples of good throughout MHS and the McCormick community. Mrs. Robinson puts others first and that is why she was chosen by the Students-In-Action Team to receive the first Jefferson award given to a teacher at MHS. Community Member: The Students-In-Action Team chose Ms. Vivian Jennings to receive this year’s first Jefferson Award given to a member of the McCormick community because of her dedicated service to the JAG students this year. She devoted countless hours every week for three months to help the JAG students learn how to design and cut vinyl to make t-shirts, as well as teaching them how to start and run a successful business as young en-trepreneurs. Without the generosity of her time and talents, the vision of JAG Custom Designs and Crea-tions would not have come to fruition. The SIA team thanks Ms. Jennings for her dedication to the JAG stu-dents, and her continued dedication to the students at McCormick High School.

Thanks to Emily Schultz from Multiplying Good

for coming to MHS to present the awards.
