TERMS & CONDITIONS - The PhilatelicAuctioneers Standard Terms and Conditions ofsale apply, a copy of which is available on request.Placing a bid is your acceptance of these terms.Your statutory rights are not affected.

HOW TO BID - This is a POSTAL AUCTIONand operates in the same way as any PublicAuction except you do not need to attend ourpremises to take part. Simply enter on the PostalBidding Form overleaf the maximum amountsyou are prepared to pay for as many of the lotsyou wish to bid on and return it to us in theenclosed pre-paid envelope. PLEASEREMEMBER TO SIGN THE BID FORM.We will enter these bids on your behalf and buyat the lowest possible price subject to other bidsreceived and reserves. For example:

On a lot estimated at £100 three bids arereceived. Buyer “A” bids £80; Buyer “B” £100 andbuyer “C” £130. Buyer “C” is successful becausehis bid is the highest received but he only pays£110 being one bidding step above theunderbidder “B”.

Alternatively on a lot estimated £250 only onebid is received from Buyer “A” who bids £275. He is successful because his is the only bidreceived however, he only pays £220 because thelot is reserved at this price.

Where bids are received which are equal the firstone received will be the successful buyer. Forexample on a lot estimated £80 three bids arereceived. Buyer “A” bids £95; Buyer “B” £95 andBuyer “C” £95. Buyer “A” is successful at £95because his was the first bid received.

Bids can also be made by Telephone, Fax orEmail but must be confirmed in writing. BIDSARE CONFIDENTIAL and will not be disclosedto third parties under any circumstances.

BIDDING STEPS - Bids will be increased bythe following steps:

up to £20 in £l steps£20-£50 in £2 steps£50-£l00 in £5 steps£100-£250 in £l0 steps£250-£500 in £25 steps£500 and over in £50 steps

RESERVES - Are usually 80%-90% of theestimates.

VAT - Only lots followed by an asterisk (*) aresubject to Value Added Tax (VAT) at the currentrate to European Union (EU) buyers only and areonly on lots which originate from Non EUvendors. Non EU buyers do not pay any VAT.

REFUNDS - All lots (except literature) can bereturned and are offered on a “NO QUIBBLE,FULLY REFUNDABLE” basis provided they arereturned within 48 hours of receipt and in thesame condition as when they were received.
