INTRODUCTION
I stumbled upon the Temple of VTEC website sometime in 1995while looking for images of the amazing Honda SSM concept car.The name of the website alone was bizarre enough to capturemy attention, and being a long-time Honda enthusiast myself,I somehow “got it.” The site really seemed a “temple” of sorts, dispensing guidance and wisdom to thousands of virtual“pilgrims” seeking automotive enlightenment.
My first contribution to the site was a handful of graphicallyenhanced photos of a prototype Honda S2000 undergoing testing.Founder Jeff Palmer graciously agreed to post my images, which, when clicked on, would “develop” from “negatives” (completewith crosshairs!) to show the actual photo. The feedback waspositive enough that I began regular contributions of retouchedimages and basic graphic updates.
Little did I know that this was to be the start of a long-timecommitment to providing ongoing graphic support to what hasbecome the Internet’s leading site for Honda and Acura enthusiasts.I am grateful to Jeff for the opportunity to share my designs andvisions, and to our visitors for their continued support and praise.
The Temple of VTEC represents a true labor of passion for all thingsHonda and Acura. In its 17 years of existence, I continue to beamazed at the level of quality, commitment and professionalismshown by a talented, multi-disciplined team sharing a desire tocommunicate, educate and maintain an enthusiasm for the valuesand passion advanced by Soichiro Honda.
Our sincere thanks goes out to our friends, industry contacts, viewers, posters and contributors worldwide who continue to addmeaningful content and community to our site. The Temple ofVTEC represents the ultimate online expression of automobileenthusiasts who truly believe in “The Power of Dreams.”
