Richmond Senior Center is a multipurpose center provides social services, recreation, educational programs and some health services to the older citizens of Madison County.
Congregate meal site Monday – Friday.
They administer the Home Delivered Meals program.

Nursing Home Ombudsman Program
The Ombudsman Agency serves approximately 5,000 nursing home and family care home residents and their families in a seventeen-county area around Lexington, Kentucky
Its primary objectives are to:
Protect the rights of nursing home residents
Identify, investigate and work to resolve residents' concerns
Empower residents to make informed choices
Monitor and work to enact laws protecting older Kentuckians
Be a regular friendly visitor to residents

Provides support groups, the Safe Return program, educational materials, a quarterly newsletter, and respite for persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders and their caregivers. They have a lending library with over 450 resources about Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving issues.
Best Friends Center in Lexington is a social model program and provides participants with a variety of activities designed to bring out the best in the person with memory loss. Day center hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 to 5:30. Sliding fee

Transportation This is the number one issue for many seniors in Fayette County!
Foothills Express provides transportation to senior centers, adult day centers, medical facilities, etc in Madison County and nearby counties. Cost is $1.25 per mile. For more information: 800-819-7083.
Richmond Senior Center provides limited transportation for seniors who are regular participants of the center’s activities to places such as medical appointments. For more information: (859) 623-0474.
