Can you believe it is week 6 already? How quickly this term is going! I am so impressed by the teaching and learning that is taking place in each classroom and how settled and engaged the children are in their lessons. This term I would like to “introduce” parents to our support staff members, so you appreciate their role and understand their value in our school. Firstly, I would like to introduce you to Ms Wendy Nutt. We are very fortunate to have the expertise of Ms Wendy Nutt in our school. Wendy is a highly trained reading and writing teacher. Wendy assesses our students if they are having reading difficulties, she identifies their learning needs, she develops a learning program for the support that the child requires and then carries out the intervention to improve each student’s learning outcomes in reading, comprehension and writing. Wendy also plays an important role as an Instructional Leader, mentoring, supporting and up skilling our staff in reading and writing teaching strategies. Thank you Wendy! We have school photos happening in our school tomorrow- please read the instructions on the newsletter if you wish to order. Have a great week! Lyn Barnes Principal.
