VALUE OF THE WEEK: CARE

Play safely Show concern for the wellbeing of others Be friendly and make others feel welcome

Consider the needs of everyone.

CANTEEN NEWS Congratulations to the Oat-ley West P&C Canteen. The canteen is meeting the NSW Healthy School Can-teen Strategy. The Menu Check Service assessed the menu application against the food and drink criteria

of the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy and met the requirements of the Strategy. By having a healthy canteen, we are supporting the health and wellbeing of our students. In acknowledge-ment, the canteen has been awarded the Great Choice Certificate and Badge. This informs the broader school community of our commitment to a healthy school canteen. Congratulations to all members of the canteen!

STUDENT ATTENDANCE As part of our School Strategic Improvement Plan, we have formed a student attendance goal. Above 90+% is our expected student attendance target. Every day at school counts towards stu-dents achieving their best and realising their po-tential both academically and socially. If a student misses as little as 8 days in each school term, by the end of primary school they’ll have missed over a year of school. If you have concerns in re-gard to your child’s absences, please do not hesi-tate to speak to the classroom teacher or the As-sistant Principal supervising the stage so that we can work together to develop some positive strat-egies which will help to improve attendance at school.

2022 ENROLMENTS We are now accepting enrolments for 2022. Ap-plications can now be made online at the enrol-ment page on our website or through the Service NSW website. Due to revised enrolment guide-lines, our school can only accept ‘in area’ enrol-ments or those that meet the criteria for an out of area application. If you already have a child/children enrolled at the school, our enrolment panel would consider your out of area application as a priority. A full copy of enrolment guidelines is available on our website. If you have any ques-tions please feel free to contact our office staff, phone 9580 5048.
