You are able to book your me/s for Wednesday the 1 st August from 12 noon to 7pm. Teachers will have a dinner break from 5 to 5:30pm on that day. If a me is not highlighted that means that some- one else has that me. Those parents that have already booked their mes have said how easy this process is which is great news. ATTENDANCE: You are also able to let us know through the portal if your child is not going to be here for any parcular day/s instead of ringing the office. A message goes straight through to the teacher to let them know which is then put into their aend- ance records. Award-Winning In-School Theatre Performances, BRAINSTORM PRODUCTIONS: present ‘The Protectors’ On Monday 30th July Brainstorm Productions will be presenting ‘The Protectors’, a show about protecting yourself from bullying and strengthening self-esteem. The performance will be FREE for all students as wellbeing grant funding will be paying for the performance and it aligns with our school values and also the Kidsmatter program. The Protectors come to the rescue with their live theatre program, providing students with strategies to safely block bullies at school and online. Using research-based strategies, The Protectors and their ‘Protector Tools’ will help students learn how to handle bullies and understand how they can intervene safely to support children who are being bullied. Students will come to appreciate that all people deserve to be treated with kindness and respect at school and online. The Protectors is part of our student wellbeing curriculum. The program has been developed in consulta-tion with students, teachers and psychologists. The methodology of the program is safe, supportive and nonjudgmental and designed to provide students with positive and useful tools that they can use in their everyday lives. More than 350,000 Australian students have already benefited from Brainstorm Productions multi award-winning educational theatre programs over the past twelve months. Their programs cater to the specific wellbeing needs of students, helping to create a healthy and harmonious school environment. ANNUAL TOUCAN FOOD APPEAL

AUGUST 2018 ….Think OUTSIDE THE CAN! The Geelong Food Relief Centre has been providing free food to those in need for 28 years. Working in conjunction with welfare agencies, in 2018/19 we will see 36,000 individuals referred to Gee-long Food Relief Centre’s for Emergency Food Relief. Your school is one of 90 schools throughout Geelong and the surrounding region, who every year assists us in making our service possible. Each donation makes its way onto a family’s table, which could be a family living in your street. Items listed below form some of the basic food items most families choose. We are inviting you to be part of this generous donation to provide if possible the following: Cereal (All Sizes), Cake Mix, Spreads, Dry Pasta, Canned Soups, Canned Tuna, Packet Pasta, Canned Fruit, Noodles, Rice, Tea/Coffee, Cling Wrap / Foil, Shampoo Conditioner. Of course, all donations whether cans, boxes or packets are always gratefully appreciated.

We thank you for your ongoing support and assure you all donations will make a significant difference to someone living within our community.

THANK YOU
