Introduction:
Ten years ago, the internet was a fuzzy concept that people sort of knew about, but few people were
actually using. People were aware of a borderless information super system, linked around the globe
by computers, but it was accessible to only those in the know.
The internet isn't the only aspect of technology that is springing up everywhere. Personal computers
can do your taxes, email can reconnect you with long-lost friends, and businesses have changed
dramatically since the information age began. There are databases, networks, operating systems and
applications programs. Disks, monitors, printers, hard drives and software are used on a daily basis
by millions of people. The whole business is confusing and complex. That is why information
technologies specialists are there to monitor, install, repair, and develop all aspects of the computer
age.
In the early days of computer development, there was no such thing as a college degree in IT.
Software development and computer programming were best left to the computer scientists and
mathematical engineers, due to their complicated nature. As time passed and technology advanced,
such as with the advent of the personal computer in the 1980s and its everyday use in the home and
the workplace, the world moved into the information age.
Information technologies specialists can be found in small companies and large organizations. They
work in a number of capacities, including web design, site administration, network and systems
administration, advise users on breakdowns, fix software problems, research the web for various
companies and individuals, and maintain sites for companies and individuals. They are experts whenit comes to the information superhighway, and can surf effectively, efficiently, and design, develop,
and discover just about anything having to do with computers, from knowing which buttons perform
which functions to ensuring a system stays active for long periods of time.
In addition to handling problems, IT specialists within the company also keep the computers running
smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This can also mean installing the actual software on employee's
computers. Specialists may also respond to calls for computer help from staff who do not know how
to resolve problems on their own.

What is IT and IT Specialist:
Information Technology
(IT) is concerned with technology to treat information. The acquisition, processing, storage and
dissemination of vocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by a microelectronics-based
combination of computing and telecommunications are its main fields. IT is the area of managing
technology and spans a wide variety of areas that include computer software, information
systems, computer hardware, programming languages but are not limited to things such as
processes, and data constructs. In short, anything that renders data, information or perceived
knowledge in any visual format whatsoever, via any multimedia distribution mechanism, is
considered part of the IT domain. IT provides businesses with four sets of core services to help
execute the business strategy: business process automation, providing information, connecting
with customers, and productivity tools.
An IT specialist, or information technology specialist, is a person who works with computers and
other technologies such as telephones and fax machines. Many companies have an IT specialist on
staff who helps with the maintenance of computers and computer networks within the organization.
IT specialists can handle any issues and problems relating to technology, it is most common for an IT
specialist to work within the field of computers. Because computers have become so pervasive,
almost every workplace, school, public institution and private home has one. As such, there is a great
number of potential problems that can arise for novice computer users, from how to set up a network
to how to troubleshoot software that is not working properly. As such, IT specialists are much in
demand within the computer industry.
Most IT specialists are able to correct software problems themselves. For example, specialists may
install fixes for software released by a manufacturer or may uninstall and reinstall software that is not
working properly. Hardware problems may either be fixed in-house by IT specialists or the IT
specialist may be required to outsource the repair if the problem is very complex or requires specialtools. Information Technology Specialists (IT Specialists) in Engineering Computing report to the

Associate Dean of Engineering (Computing) and are responsible for support and maintenance of
computer systems, the faculty‘s network infrastructure and the provision of quality computing
services, support and training for academic departments in Engineering. These responsibilities
include the administrative, student, network and research computing environments and the
supporting infrastructure. IT Specialists must work closely with IT staff in the Departments to
achieve EC‘s goal of providing the Faculty of Engineering with effective information systems and
technology. The IT Specialists are familiar with, comply with and promote the University‘s policies
related to information systems and technology. All positions report to the Associate Dean of
Engineering (Computing) but may receive functional input from other members of the team.
IT specialists usually need some formal education beyond high school to get hired. While some
employers will hire IT specialists with only an associate's degree, many jobs require at least a
bachelor's degree
Literature Review:
One of the largest challenges for all classifications of IT professionals continues to be the energy
and effort required to keep technical skills current. The necessity to assimilate increasing amounts
of new knowledge (e.g., Benamati & Lederer, 2001; Lee et al., 1995; Ryan, 1999; Swanke, 1999) is
a source of major stress for those engaged in IT work. ―Maintaining competence is a continuous
challenge resulting from the continuous stream of technical innovation in applications, as
well as the capability, diversity, and complexity of IT and the importance of IT innovation in the
overall performance of organizations‖ (Schambach & Blanton, 2002, p. 83). Not only are
advancements
being made in technology‘s hardware (microprocessors, storage medium, optical
disks, etc.), but countless changes also affect software development methodologies (Lee et al.,
1995). Technology is changing so rapidly and is so complex that IT professionals find themselvescaught in the turbulence of contemporary organizations (e.g., AlBanna & Osterhaus, 1998;
Biskup & Kautz, 1994).
Computer technology has contributed in significant ways to the complexities and demands of the
contemporary world. One of the driving forces and primary characteristics of IT work is continuous
change. Technological change often originates from advancements in technology, such as
hardware, software, and telecommunications products, and comes from the external marketplace.
Over 20 years ago, Huber (1984) described post-industrial society as increasingly complex and
increasingly turbulent. Further, he stated that ―post-industrial society will be characterized by
qualitatively greater levels of knowledge, complexity, and turbulence, and that in each case these

levels will be increasing at a considerable rate‖ (p. 933). In short, chaotic and turbulent change is
prolific and is likely to continue accelerating into the future (Benamati & Lederer, 2001).
Qualification of IT Specialist:
An IT specialists need to be extremely knowledgeable about computers in general, though many
specialize in a particular software, operating system or other niche. They should have expert
knowledge of computer hardware, software, circuit boards, chips, processors and electronic
equipment. Mathematical knowledge is also important for this career, and IT specialists should be
familiar with the principles of calculus, geometry, statistics and algebra. IT specialists also need to
know about telecommunications systems and should understand the principles of things like
broadcasting, control and switching.
IT specialists must be very efficient to be able to finish the job quickly and thoroughly; certain skills
and personal qualities make the process easier and contribute to an IT specialist's success. Being a
good listener is extremely important for this career, as IT specialists are constantly listening to clients
describing their computer problems. They need to know how to interpret this information, even when
the client is not very knowledgeable about computers. IT specialists are analytical, detail-minded
individuals who are good at solving problems both big and small. They also need excellent verbal
and written communications skills to be able to instruct clients on how to solve computer issues.
Education requirements vary depending on the IT specialty. While some IT specialists work their
way up with professional certifications, most experts begin their careers with an information
technology degree at the associate or bachelor level. IT certifications are useful for building
specialist expertise and staying up to date on the latest advances in a specific area of information
technology.
IT Specialists consult on both hardware and software issues. Although programming is not the focus
of their work, they are expected to understand enough about programming to provide support.
Maintenance of some activities e.g. user account maintenance, web page design, security,
maintenance etc. requires programming skills such as php and pearl. It is also acknowledged that
Engineering Computing staff must be conversant in computing related technologies such as PDA‘s,

William Henry "Bill" Gates (born October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington) is one of the most
influential people in the world. He is cofounder of one of the most recognized brands in the computer
industry with nearly every desk top computer using at least one software program from Microsoft
Gates was born and grew up in Seattle, Washington USA. His father, William H. Gates II was a
Seattle attorney and his mother, Mary Maxwell Gates was a school teacher and chairperson of the
United Way charity.
Gates and his two sisters had a comfortable upbringing, with Gates being able to attend the exclusive
secondary "Lakeside School".At 13 he enrolled in the Lakeside School, an exclusive preparatory
school. When he was in the eighth grade, the Mothers Club at the school used proceeds from
Lakeside School's rummage sale to buy a Teletype Model 33 ASR terminal and a block of computer
time on a General Electric (GE) computer for the school's students.
Gates took an interest in programming the GE system in BASIC, and was excused from math classes
to pursue his interest. He wrote his first computer program on this machine: an implementation of
tic-tac-toe that allowed users to play games against the computer. Gates was fascinated by the
machine and how it would always execute software code perfectly. When he reflected back on that
moment, he said, "There was just something neat about the machine." After the Mothers Club
donation was exhausted, he and other students sought time on systems including DEC PDP
minicomputers. One of these systems was a PDP-10 belonging to Computer Center Corporation
(CCC), which banned four Lakeside students — Gates, Paul Allen, Ric Weiland, and Kent Evans — for

the summer after it caught them exploiting bugs in the operating system to obtain free computer
time.
Gates and Allen worked on a version of the programming language BASIC, that was the basis for the
MITS Altair (the first microcomputer available). He did not go on to graduate from Harvard
University as he left in his junior year to start what was to become the largest computer software
company in the world; Microsoft Corporation.
"To enable people and businesses throughout the world to realize their full potential." Microsoft
Mission Statement
After dropping out of Harvard Bill Gates and his partner Paul Allen set about revolutionizing the
computer industry. Gates believed there should be a computer on every office desk and in every
home.
In 1975 the company Micro-soft was formed, which was an abbreviation of microcomputer software.
It soon became simply "Microsoft"® and went on to completely change the way people use
computers.
Microsoft helped to make the computer easier to use with its developed and purchased software. The
success of Microsoft began with the MS-DOS computer operating system that Gates licensed to
IBM. Gates also set about protecting the royalties that he could acquire from computer software by
aggressively fighting against all forms of software piracy, effectively creating the retail software
market that now exists today. This move was quite controversial at the time as it was the freedom of
sharing that produced much innovation and advances in the newly forming software industry. But it
was this stand against software piracy, that was to be central in the great commercial success that
Microsoft went on to achieve.
Mark Elliot Zuckerberg (born May 14, 1984) is an American computer programmer and Internet
entrepreneur. He is best known for co-creating the social networking site Facebook, .In 2010,
Zuckerberg was named Time magazine's ― Person of the Year. youngest billionaires. ―

Zuckerberg began using computers and writing software as a child in middle school. His father
taught him Atari BASIC Programming in the 1990s, and later hired software developer David
Newman to tutor him privately. Newman calls him a "prodigy," adding that it was "tough to stay
ahead of him." Zuckerberg also took a graduate course in the subject at Mercy College near his home
while he was still in high school. He enjoyed developing computer programs, especially
communication tools and games.
In one such program, since his father's dental practice was operated from their home, he built a
software program he called " ZuckNet," which allowed all the computers between the house and
dental office to communicate by pinging each other. It is considered a "primitive" version of AOL's
Instant Messenger, which came out the following year.
During Zuckerberg's high school years, under the company name Intelligent Media Group, he built a
music player called the Synapse Media Player that used artificial intelligence to learn the user's
listening habits, which was posted to Slashdot and received a rating of 3 out of 5 from PC Magazine.
By the time he began classes at Harvard, he had already achieved a " reputation as a programming
prodigy," notes Vargas. He studied psychology and computer science as well as belonging to Alpha
Epsilon Pi, a Jewish fraternity. In his sophomore year, he wrote a program he called CourseMatch,
which allowed users to make class selection decisions based on the choices of other students and also
to help them form study groups. A short time later, he created a different program he initially called
Facemash that let students select the best looking person from a choice of photos. According to
Zuckerberg's roommate at the time, Arie Hasit, "he built the site for fun."
Hasit explains:
We had books called Face Books, which included the names and pictures of everyone who lived in
the student dorms. At first, he built a site and placed two pictures, or pictures of two males and two
females. Visitors to the site had to choose who was "hotter" and according to the votes there
would be a ranking. “
Zuckerberg launched Facebook from his Harvard dormitory room on February 4, 2004. An earlier
inspiration for Facebook may have come from Phillips Exeter Academy, the prep school from which
Zuckerberg graduated in 2002.

Facebook published its own student directory, ―The Photo Address Book,‖ which students referred
to as ―The Facebook.‖ Such photo directories were an important part of the student social experience
at many private schools. With them, students were able to list attributes such as their class years,
their proximities to friends, and their telephone numbers.
On May 24, 2007, Zuckerberg announced Facebook Platform, a development platform for
programmers to create social applications within Facebook. Within weeks, many applications had
been built and some already had millions of users. It grew to more than 800,000 developers around
the world building applications for Facebook Platform. On November 6, 2007, Zuckerberg
announced a new social advertising system called Beacon, which enabled people to share
information with their Facebook friends based on their browsing activities on other sites.
A movie based on Zuckerberg and the founding years of Facebook, The Social Network was released
on October 1, 2010. After Zuckerberg was told about the film, he responded,
The film is based on the book The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich. The film's screenwriter
Aaron Sorkin told New York magazine, "I don't want my fidelity to be to the truth; I want it to be
to storytelling", adding, "What is the big deal about accuracy purely for accuracy's sake, and can
we not have the true be the enemy of the good?" Upon winning the Golden Globes award for Best
Picture on January 16, 2011, producer Scott Rudin thanked Facebook and Zuckerberg "for his
willingness to allow us to use his life and work as a metaphor through which to tell a story about
communication and the way we relate to each other.”
Vanity Fair magazine named Zuckerberg number 1 on its 2010 list of the Top 100 " most influential
people of the Information Age". Zuckerberg ranked number 23 on the Vanity Fair 100 list in 2009.]
In 2010, Zuckerberg was chosen as number 16 in New Statesman' s annual survey of the world's 50
most influential figures.
Peter Norton
Peter Norton (born November 14, 1943) is an American programmer, software publisher, author,
and philanthropist. He is best known for the computer programs and books that bear his name.Norton sold his PC-Software business to Symantec Corporation in 1990

Norton was born in Aberdeen, Washington and raised in Seattle. He attended Reed College in
Portland, Oregon, graduating in 1965. Before discovering microcomputers, he spent a dozen years
working on mainframes and minicomputers for companies including Boeing and Jet Propulsion
Laboratory.
His earliest low level system utilities were designed to allow mainframe programmers access to some
previous RAM that IBM normally reserved for diagnostics.
Its 1982 introduction of the Norton Utilities included Norton's popular UNERASE tool to retrieve
erased data from DOS disks. A publisher called him and asked him if he wanted to write a book.
Norton's first computer book, Inside the IBM PC: Access to Advanced Features & Programming
(Techniques),was published in 1983. Norton wrote several other technical manuals and introductory
computing books..
Norton Computing revenue rose to $5 million in 1986, $11 million in 1987, and $15 million in 1988.
Its products won several utility awards. Norton himself was named
― Entrepreneur of the Year by Arthur Young & Co. (1988 High Technology Award Winner Greater
Los Angeles Region) and Venture Magazine.”
The Norton brand name lives on in such Symantec products as Norton AntiVirus, Norton 360,
Norton Internet Security, Norton Personal Firewall, Norton SystemWorks (which now contains a
current version of the Norton Utilities), Norton AntiBot, Norton AntiSpam, Norton GoBack
(formerly Roxio GoBack), Norton PartitionMagic (formerly PowerQuest PartitionMagic), and
Norton Ghost.
David Bradley was one of the twelve engineers who worked on the original IBM PC, developing the
computer ROM BIOScode. He is credited by some for inventing the " Control-Alt-Delete" key
combination that was used to reboot the computer. Bradley developed the ROM BIOS. That got him
promoted to manage the BIOS and diagnostics for the IBM PC XT.

Bradley's career has been at IBM. Bradley began at IBM after receiving a PhD from Purdue in 1975.
He worked on the Series/1 system. In 1978 he developed the I/O system for the System/23
Datamaster.
In November 1987 Bradley became manager of advanced processor design. His group developed the
486/25 Power Platform and the PS/2 Models 90 and 95. In 1991 he became manager of systems
architecture for the Entry Systems Technology group. In 1992 he became the architecture manager
for the group that developed a personal computer using the PowerPC RISC microprocessor.
Tim Paterson (born 1956) is an American computer programmer, best known as the original
author of MS-DOS, the most widely used personal computer operating system in the 1980s.
Paterson was educated in the Seattle Public Schools, graduating from Ingraham High School in 1974.
He attended the University of Washington, working as a repair technician for The Retail Computer
Store in the Green Lake area of Seattle, Washington, and graduated magna cum laude with a degree
in Computer Science in June 1978. Paterson went to work for Seattle Computer Products as a
designer and engineer. He designed a schematic of Microsoft's Z-80 SoftCard which had a Z80 CPU
and ran the CP/M operating system on an Apple II.
Intel released the 8086 CPU, and Paterson went to work designing an S-100 8086 board, which went
to market in November 1979. Paterson began work on QDOS (Quick and Dirty Operating System) in
April 1980 to fill that void, copying the APIs of CP/M from sources including the published CP/M
manual so that it would be highly compatible. QDOS was soon renamed as 86-DOS. Version 0.10
was complete by July 1980. By version 1.14 86-DOS had grown to 4,000 lines of assembly code.
After a brief second stint with SCP, Paterson started his own company, Falcon Technology, which
was bought by Microsoft in 1986. Paterson did a second stint with Microsoft from 1986 – 1988 and a
third stint from 1990-1998. During his third stint at Microsoft, he worked on Visual Basic.

Peter MacDonald is a Canadian software engineer, best known as the creator of Softlanding Linux
System (SLS), widely regarded as the first complete Linux distribution. Some of his work served as a
foundation of Wine. He also created the Tcl web browser BrowseX, and the PDQI suite of Tcl
utilities.
Peter Charles MacDonald was born in Victoria, British Columbia on June 28, 1957. He graduatedfrom the Computer Science program of the University of Victoria with a BSc (1989) and MSc (1996,
master's thesis: Decomposing the Linux Kernel into Dynamically Loadable Modules).
MacDonald co-developed early features of the Linux kernel in the early 1990s, including shared
libraries, pseudo terminals, the select call and virtual consoles. He announced Softlanding Linux
System (SLS), the first standalone Linux install, for testing in August 1992 (on 15 floppy disks), and
for general release in October 1992 (recommending at least 10 MB of disk space).
MacDonald founded BrowseX Systems in 1999,and put out version 1.0 of BrowseX, an open source
Tcl-based cross-platform web browser, meant to be smaller and faster than Netscape. The last update
of BrowseX was in 2003; the company was renamed to PDQ Interfaces Inc., and put out a set of
various TCL based utilities.
The initial 1993 Wine Windows emulator was based on Tcl/Tk windowing functions MacDonald
wrote (though later rewritten as direct Xlib calls).

Research Corporation, which is Steve M. Gibson (born March 26, 1955, Dayton, Ohio) is a
computer enthusiast, best known for its SpinRite software.
Gibson had a very long career in the technology field; his resume lists jobs he had held back to the
age of 13. He began in hardware projects but moved more toward software development in the
1980s. One of his early successes during this period was a light pen graphics system for the Apple
II.
Gibson is an advocate of assembly language programming, and prides himself on writing smaller
applications mostly in Intel x86 assembly language, including much of the code of the SpinRite hard
disk utility used from the beginning of the PC era. He is one of several advocates of optimizingcomputer programs and reducing the size of their executables.
In the 1990s, Gibson began to move into the computer security field, developing and distributing a
number of free security tools, including the ShieldsUp! port-scanner, and the LeakTest firewall tester.
In 2000, Gibson created one of the first adware removal programs, OptOut.
Gibson is working on the DNS Nameserver Spoofability Test , an online utility used to test whether
the systems configured nameservers are vulnerable to DNS spoofing. Steve's future plans include
work on his forthcoming VPN product CryptoLink

IT specialist in Bangladesh:
At present Information Technology (IT) is a subject of
widespread interest in Bangladesh. There are around 100 software houses, 35 data entry centres,
thousands of formal and informal IT training centres and numerous computer shops. The
Government has declared IT as a thrust sector and that computer training centre will be set up in
each divisional and district headquarters of Bangladesh. Import of computer hardware and
software is now duty free, VSAT is deregulated, high speed DDN (Digital Data Network) has
been introduced. One fourth of the 45 recommendations of JRC report on software export has
already been implemented; rest is in the process of implementation. A tremendous activity is
going on in every sector including e-commerce, e-governance, computer networking, Internet,
web browsing, web applications, multimedia product development etc. Some active steps and
initiatives are already there, as described below for an exposure of the present and future
prospects of IT in Bangladesh.
Muhammed Zafar Iqbal (born December 23, 1952) is a Bangladeshi scientist, writer of science-fiction, children's books, and also a well-known political columnist. He is currently a professor of
CSE and EEE department at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
He passed SSC exam from Bogra Zilla School in 1968 and HSC exam from Dhaka College in 1970.
He earned his BSc in physics from Dhaka University in 1976. Then Iqbal went to University of
Washington to obtain his PhD. He earned the degree in 1982. He worked as a post-doctoral
researcher at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) from 1983 to 1988. He then joined Bell

Communications Research (Bellcore), a separate corporation from the Bell Labs, which is now
known as Telcordia Technologies, as a Research Scientist.
He left the institute in 1994 and joined the faculty of the Department of Computer Science and
Engineering of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
Munir hasan born in Chittagong. In his early school days, Munir was active in restoring a fading sport
and cultural organization for students which he later chaired. He organized debate and quiz clubs and
also led the cricket team in the intercommunity cricket competition.
As a student at the engineering university, Munir was a student movement leader at a time when
students‘ organizations were officially banned. One of his more notable initiatives was organizing
the biggest ever scientific expedition in Bangladesh: 200+ young enthusiasts were taken to
Sundarban to observe the total solar eclipse in 1995. The findings were published in national dailies,
journals, and in a British astronomical journal.
After graduation, Munir remained passionate about spreading mathematics and has capitalized on his
new position at the engineering university to spread his ideas.
In 1991, as an employee of the university, Munir was invited to join a group tasked with promoting
the math Olympiad in Bangladesh. He became the director of a new program to implement math
Olympiad training; hoping to utilize the program and mandate to find workable, learner-friendly
solutions to improve both the aptitudes and attitudes towards mathematics in Bangladesh.
First, students are engaged in the mathematics festivals through relationship and character- building
activities as students share stories, sing, play sports, and gather around bonfires to talk and developfriendships. An oath is taken by the students at this stage to be honest, clean, and to never drink or
take drugs.
Next, students participate in the International Mathematics Olympiad. Not only is the Olympiad
exciting for a young student, but it serves to dramatically open their eyes to the power and
excitement of mathematics and the important role it will play in their future.
Finally, the mathematics festival abandons the current academic culture of rote memorization and
lectures for in-depth and open question and answer sessions with teachers.

Why we call them IT Specialist: IT
Specialists typically have a degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Information
Systems Management or they may have a degree in a field such as Mathematics, Statistics,
Operations Research or Engineering where there is a heavy concentration of computer
science/information science coursework. Candidates may also qualify based on experience in the
Information Technology field.
Looks like society is fooling us into believing that all successful people are exceptions. It is forcing
us into taking the safe path of qualifications. This is just leading to some kind of
boring homogeneity in society. Graduates are saddled with huge student loans unable to pursue their
passions as their whole qualifications will go waste if they do something different.
According to the qualification of IT specialist we see that most of the IT specialist had knowledge
about Information,Communication or Networking Technology. They work in IT sector.Fact is that
they should know about computers in general, many specialize in a particular software, operating
system or other niche. They should have expert knowledge of computer hardware, software, circuit
boards, chips, processors and electronic equipment. If you see their profile we can find that most of
them are software developer or study in networking or communication sector.
Bill Gates took an interest in programming the GE system in BASIC at the very begnning. At the age
of 13 he wrote his 1st program tic-tac-toe a game ,users play games against the computer. When Bill
Gates started studying at Harvard University in 1973 he worked on a version of the programming
language BASIC. In 1975 Micro-soft was formed, which was an abbreviation of microcomputer
software. That makes him not only famous but also billoner .And creates a stage in It specialist for
him.

Next we can see Mark Zuckerberg. He is best known for co-creating the social networking site
Facebook. Zuckerberg began using computers and writing software as a child in middle school. He
enjoyed developing computer programs, especially communication tools and games. Zuckerberg
launched Facebook from his Harvard dormitory room on February 4, 2004. It published its own
student directory, ―The Photo Address Book,‖ which students referred to as ―The Facebook.‖ On
May 24, 2007, Zuckerberg announced Facebook Platform, a development platform for programmers
to create social applications within Facebook. It grew to more than 800,000 developers around the
world building applications for Facebook Platform. Vanity Fair magazine named Zuckerberg
number 1 on its 2010 list of the Top 100 "most influential people of the Information Age, Zuckerberg
was chosen as number 16 in New Statesman's annual survey of the world's 50 most influential
figures.
Same as Mark Zuckerberg Peter Norton is an American programmer, software publisher and
author. Before discovering microcomputers, he spent a dozen years working on mainframes and
minicomputers for companies including Boeing and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He devlopes many
soft like Norton AntiVirus, Norton 360, Norton Internet Security, Norton Personal Firewall, Norton
AntiSpam, and Norton Ghost.
Same thing we can find when we see Tim Paterson’s profile .He is also a computer programmer,
known as the original author of MS-DOS, he went to work for Seattle Computer Products as a
designer and engineer. He designed a schematic of Microsoft's Z-80 SoftCard operating system on an
Apple II.
Like Tim Paterson Peter MacDonald is also a software engineer. He is best known as the creator of
Softlanding Linux System (SLS). He graduated from the Computer Science program of the
University of Victoria with a BSc (1989) and MSc (1996, master's thesis: Decomposing the Linux
Kernel into Dynamically Loadable Modules). He also created the Tcl web browser BrowseX, and
the PDQI suite of Tcl utilities.
Not only Bill Gates ,Mark Zuckerberg but also zafor iqbal, Munir Hasan & Mohammad
Solaimun Rasel are also IT specialist. They works in IT fields . Zafar Iqbal is a Bangladeshi
scientist . He earned his BSc in physics from Dhaka University. Then he went to University of

separate corporation from the Bell Labs, which is now known as Telcordia Technologies, as a

Munir Hasan is changing the way math is taught and understood by everyone in the country. He
approach to mathematics education in Bangladesh. In 1991, he was invited to join a group tasked
with promoting the math Olympiad in Bangladesh. He became the director of a new program to
implement math Olympiad training; hoping to utilize the program and mandate to find workable,
learner-friendly solutions to improve both the aptitudes and attitudes towards mathematics in

Though Wasik Farhan Roopkotha is not an it specialist but if you see his biography see that he can
do operating system set up and trouble shooting and he also can programming any software. The
baby type words with his tiny fingers on the keyboard. He can type as swift as any highly efficient
typist without having to look at the keyboard. Everyday the wonder baby spends more than 12 hours

like Sonic-knuckles(all sonic series), Prince of Persia, Terminator 3. He is a special gift of the
Almighty Allah.one day he will be an it specialist in Bangladesh.
Conclusion: Information technologists not only focus on the technical skills that go into computers, but they also
understand and appreciate the role of information technology in general, and its impact on society as
a whole. Information specialists work in many different library and information center environments.
Whether they work in the corporate world or a special library they, like other information
professionals, are forced to contend with the exponential growth of technology in the workplace. The
world of computers is huge, unwieldy, and confusing, and can potentially lead those unfamiliar with
its complexities astray. It is easy to get lost and tangled up in it, but the specialists are there to guide
us along our way.
