Don Chipotle is a theatt).al experiefce lnsplred by both the classic story of Don Quixote and playwrlSht.lraf Franclsco

Vi l la s exper ience growlng up in the v lo ent neighborhood of the Low€r Easl5!de in New York Ci ty. l t te l s the story of twoyoung boys, Ce est ino and Octavio, whojourney across New YorkCltyon an epicadventure, encounler lng dangerous

Through a DCASE development workshop, i t was discovered that the most exci t lnS, ef fectve way to move between the r€al

manipulat ion of p!ppets formed f fom found objecis that exist wi th ln the scenery. Us ng these forms we wi l see how

Celest ino's mind t fansforms the wor ld around him from pedestr lan to mag cal , and enables the audience to see from his

var lous f igures. These i tems are al l made from objects found on New York streets (pop cans, t rash bass, boxes, basketbal ls,

fast food containers, etc.) and tower over the charactefs and other scenlc elements.

Two arge puppets portray characters c jose to Don Chipot ei THE THREE, hls dangerous uncles, and MAMI, his mother '
