PREPARATION AND SURFACTANTS WETTING AGENTS/SCOURING AGENTS

TRADE NAME APPLICATIONS AND PROPERTIES

QUESTAL CB-LF Unique, “all-in-one” product for the hydrogen peroxide bleaching of cotton-containing yarns. Excellent detergency with hydrogen peroxide stabilization. Absorbencies of the bleached packages are excellent.

CLOTERGE AR Nonionic scouring/wetting agent for natural and synthetic fibers. Good emulsifying properties for spin finishes and oils. Does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates.

PENTINE 937 Nonionic, biodegradable, nonfoaming, non-red label, low odor solvent, scouring agent effective in wetting synthetic fibers and removing grease and/or oil. Can also be used in continuous bleaching operations, including jet washers. Product is also effective at degreasing wool. Stable to at least 80 grams/liter of NaOH (50%) and stable to hydrogen peroxide.

HIPOSCOUR JAJ A low foaming multifunctional scouring agent for both natural and synthetic fibers and their blends. The product exhibits excellent detergency and contains no alkylphenols or phosphates. Effective in all batch dyeing and continuous bleaching equipment.

HIPOWET EJW Nonionic wetting and scouring agent. Excellent for removal of needle oils, grease and waxes. The product contains no alkyl phenols or phosphates. Compatible with amylase and cellulase enzymes.

PENTINE 538-B Nonionic, very low foaming scouring/wetting agent for emulsifying oils and spin finishes. Stable to at least 80 grams/liter of NaOH (50%). Can be used as a wetter and scour in jet bleaching. Very suitable for jet machines and continuous jet washers.

THOROWET 961-A Excellent anionic wetting and scouring agent. Can be used in preparation, pad finishing and garment washing. Does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates.

PREPARATION AND SURFACTANTS CHELATING AGENTS/BLEACHING ASSISTANTS


QUESTAL CB-LF Unique “all-in-one” product for the hydrogen peroxide bleaching of cotton-containing yarns (also see reference for wetting/scouring agents).

HIPOCHEM SS-100 Dispersing agent with complexing properties (calcium and magnesium ions) for the pretreatment and dyeing of cellulosic fibers and their blends. Excellent dispersing properties over the entire pH range. Brighter, fuller shades and better color yield are typically achieved. Improves the efficiency of conventional scouring agents.

HIPOCHEM SS-600 A unique chelate/dispersant system for use in peroxide bleach baths. The product exhibits excellent chelation properties for calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, and manganese. Effectively disperses silicate and insoluble silicate complexes thereby preventing and/or removing deposits.

QUESTAL SPECIAL EDTA chelate with calcium chelation value of 100mg of CaCO3 per gram of product

QUESTAL TMR Non-foaming stabilizer for the continuous hydrogen peroxide bleaching of cotton fabrics and their blends. Effectively retards the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide in bleaching liquors and controls the release of the active oxygen. Also has excellent sequestering properties to iron, alkaline Earth salts and silicates.

DYEING AUXILIARIES COTTON AND RAYON


HIPOFIX DDD Cationic fixing agent for direct and reactive dyes on 100% cotton and cotton blends. Formaldehyde free.

PENTINE FRD After-soaping agent for fiber reactive and direct-dyed cellulosic fibers. Gives excellent improvement in crockfastness, washfastness and cold water bleeding. Excellent dispersion properties. Also, an effective aftersoaping agent on printed goods to reserve white grounds.

PENTINE PDC Dispersing agent with complexing properties for the pretreatment and dyeing of cellulosic fibers and their blends. (Also, see reference for chelating agents/bleaching assistants).

DYOL RDC

Anionic leveling/wetting agent for direct and reactive dyes on cotton. Excellent dispersing, penetrating and softening properties. Stable to a wide pH range and to high levels of electrolytes. It is extremely effective in eliminating edge lines in the dyeing of cotton knit fabric. (See the Technical Process Bulletin for Phantom-Rid Process).

DYEING AUXILIARIES POLYESTER


DYOL® LMC Anionic dispersing agent, leveler and dyestuff synchronizer for the dyeing of polyester and blends of polyester with cotton or wool. The product has excellent migrating properties and excellent oil emulsifying properties.

DYOL® 2447 New generation, multicomponent, high temperature dyeing assistant for the carrier-free dyeing of textured and spun polyester yarn. Excellent dispersing properties and good leveling properties. It is especially suited for the package dyeing process.

HIPOCHEM ARM Anionic, solvent free, low odor carrier and dispersing agent for the dyeing of polyester and blends of polyester with cotton or wool. The product has excellent migrating properties.

HIPOCHEM SS-400 Multifunctional anionic product for use in cotton and polyester dyeing. Increases solubility of reactive, direct and disperse dyestuffs. Increases salt tolerance of carriers and disperse dyestuffs. Controls the effects of hard water in dyeing. Reduces trimer build-up and other deposits on machinery. Improves levelness in dyeing and reduces staining. Excellent for the after-soaping of reactive and direct dyestuffs.

PENTINE FRD Cationic after-soaping agent for disperse dyed polyester fibers and their blends. Improves washfastness and crockfastness. Allows for the elimination of sodium hydrosulfite in certain applications.

PENTINE THX A powdered powerful reducing agent for afterclearing of disperse dyed polyester fibers. Reduction potential is 4-5 times stronger than sodium hydrosulfite under alkaline conditions.

DYEING AUXILIARIES ACRYLICS


GENEUCOL MK Nonionic leveling agent, compatibilizer and dispersant for dyeing fiber blends of wool and acrylic/nylon by the single bath method (or whenever anionic and cationic dyes are used together in the same bath). Does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates.

DYEING AUXILIARIES NYLON AND WOOL


COLORLEV AC Anionic leveling agents for metal complex dyes, acid dyes, milling dyes and disperse dyes on nylon or wool.

GENEUCOL MK Nonionic leveling agent, compatibilisizer and dispersant for metal-complex dyes, acid dyes, milling dyes and disperse dyes on nylon or wool. Does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates.

HIPOCHEM FNL-4 NEW Anionic leveling agent for the dyeing of polyamide fibers and their blends with acid, metal-complex and chrome dyes. This product gives excellent barre coverage.

HIPOCHEM RFN NEW Acid dye fixing and reserving agent for nylon, wool and their blends.

DYEING AUXILIARIES PIGMENT PAD-DYEING AND PRINTING


PENTINE SI Unique pigment pad dye auxiliary that disperses pigments and prevents pad roll build up of acrylic binder systems. The product produces a smoother dyeing.

PRINTOL 972-B Pigment pad binder whose benefits include being able to run for extended time periods with reduced cleanup of dry cans. Provides excellent crock and washfastness.

PRINTOL 1243 NEW Specially formulated surfactant based antimigrant that controls pigment migration with no detrimental effect on washfastness or crockfastness.

PRINTOL SSC Acrylic pigment pad binder that provides excellent crock and washfastness. The product is heat and shear stable.

SOFTENERS POLYETHYLENES


DOUSOFT® 1054 Nonionic softener/lubricant for indigo and sulfur dyed denim and other cotton and polyester/cotton fabrics. Provides an excellent hand. Improves sewability, abrasion resistance and tear strength. Does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates.

HIPOCHEM OZC Cationic, medium density polyethylene. Will exhaust below pH 7. Does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates. Excellent for improving tear strength, abrasion resistance and sewability. Can also act as an antiozonate for denim processing.

SOFTENERS

CATIONIC & CATIONIC/POLYETHYLENE BLENDS TRADE NAME APPLICATIONS AND PROPERTIES

DOUSOFT® 8402-A A specially formulated napping lubricant for cotton fabrics, polyester fabrics and blends. The product is non-yellowing, non-foaming and produces no build-up on pad rolls. Reduces the number of passes on the napper while producing a nap superior to that obtained with conventional lubricants. It provides significantly reduced lint build-up. The product does not promote bleeding or dye migration.

HIPOSOFT HVS Cationic softener for acrylics, cottons, and their blends which provides a smooth, soft hand. Does not cause bleeding. Low yellowing.

HIPOSOFT JNF Specially designed softener for cotton and polyester/cotton blends. Provides excellent napping characteristics and excellent improvement of fabric sewability. Excellent resistance to yellowing. Provides a full, soft hand with good antistatic properties.

HIPOSOFT LDS Cationic softener with soft, fluffy hand. Excellent low yellowing properties. Good napping performance.

SILICONE TRADE NAME APPLICATIONS AND PROPERTIES

SIL-FIN WHP Aminofunctional silicone emulsion which provides a soft hand with excellent drape and body. Excellent resistance to yellowing. Improves physical properties (wrinkle recovery, tear strength) of woven goods treated with glyoxal resin. Excellent shear and salt stability. Does not contain alkyl phenol ethoxylates.

SIL-FIN WOR Hydrophilic silicone emulsion which provides a soft, natural hand. Non-yellowing. Compatible with soil release and oil and water repellent finishes including fluorochemicals. Can be printed over and has excellent overdyeability.

VISCOSOFT® 5334 HI CONC. 70% active silicone emulsion concentrate. Can be diluted to the single-strength product or to actual use levels in the finishing bath.

NONIONIC TRADE NAME APPLICATIONS AND PROPERTIES

HIPOCHEM LUBESOFT RSL CONC

Nonionic emulsion which provides a soft hand. Non-yellowing. Compatible with other finish bath additives. Useful as a sanforizing lubricant.

SOFTENERS BASES


DOUSOFT WTR Cationic, flaked softener base, which can be formulated into a “stand alone” product or blended. Formulated product gives an excellent handle with low yellowing properties. Emulsification does not require additional surfactants or acid.

DOUSOFT® C BASE Cationic fatty amide base used to provide a good handle with low yellowing. Product is supplied as a solid in metal drums.

LUBRICANTS THREAD/YARNS


LUBROL® 1809 Finishing agent for the preparation of sewing threads by kiss roll application. Provides excellent lubricity on the yarns and it is especially suited for texturized polyester yarn.

RAYOLAN 8358-R-B Finishing agent for kiss roll application on synthetic yarns. Provides excellent lubricity and it is especially suited for spun and texturized polyester yarn.

RAYOLAN NOL-R Finishing agent for the preparation of sewing threads by kiss roll application. Provides excellent lubricity on the yarns and it is especially suited for texturized polyester yarn.

LUBROL PEP-R Cationic wax emulsion for exhaustion onto cotton sewing threads and also cotton and cotton blended knitting yarns. Provides excellent lubricity with a soft hand. It is also effective on polyester yarn.

RAYOLAN TS-42 Cationic, premium exhaust lubricant for threads and yarns. Composed of silicones and waxes.

TEXAFIL® RC Uniquely designed, non-mineral oil based lubricant for rubber yarns as well as synthetic yarns, which will come into contact with rubber yarns. (The product is not recommended for use on spandex yarns or yarns which will come into contact with spandex yarns).

LUBRICANTS CONING OILS

Nylon TRADE NAME APPLICATIONS AND PROPERTIES

TEXAFIL® 1202 Universal coning oil designed for use on fine and medium denier nylon yarns. Also suitable for dyed and undyed polyester yarns. Excellent lubricating and antistatic properties.

TEXAFIL® 2761 Anionically emulsified universal coning oil for fine and medium denier nylon yarns. The product does not contribute to dye bleeding, even at unusually high add-on levels. Excellent lubricating and antistatic properties.

LUBRICANTS

CONING OILS Polyester


TEXAFIL® 918 60 SSU white oil for high speed texturing of polyester up to 850 m/min. Has high static protection and high pick-up. The product can also be used as a beaming lubricant for polyester warp yarns.

TEXAFIL® 1913 100 SSU white-oil-based coning lubricant for dyed yarns, applied at winding.

TEXAFIL® E 420 S 100 SSU white-oil-based coning lubricant for dyed yarns applied at winding. Has higher static protection than Texafil® 1913.

LUBRICANTS WET PROCESSING


HIPOLUBE FAL Concentrated anionic mixture of fatty and polymeric lubricants. Provides premium lubricity for bleaching and dyeing. Particularly effective on cottons.

LUBROL® 2409 Anionic premium lubricant for the processing of fabrics to reduce cracks, creases and abrasion defects. Offers low fiber/fiber, fiber/metal and fiber/liquor friction.

LUBROL® UF Nonionic premium lubricant for the bleaching and dyeing of fabrics to reduce cracks, creases, abrasion defects, compaction defects, pilling, etc.

DEFOAMERS TRADE NAME APPLICATIONS AND PROPERTIES

FOAMBLOCK 868-D Premium, nonionic, silicone-based defoamer for jet dyeing. Stable to 200 g/l of Glauber's salt at 90°°°° C.

HIPOCHEM STD-2 Nonionic, non-silicone defoamer for Jet and Beck dyeing processes. Excellent defoaming and antifoaming properties.

ANTISTATIC AGENTS/ANTIOXIDANTS


DUROFIN NXS Concentrated version of Durofin NXS. One third less can be used.

DUROFIN NXS-L Alkylphenol free antioxidant for the protection of nylon fibers during dry heat processes. Prevents yellowing and has excellent wetting and emulsifying properties.

DUROFIN SPDX Antioxidant for the protection of nylon fibers during dry heat processes. Prevents yellowing and has excellent wetting and emulsifying properties

ANTISTAT 20/15 Cationic antistatic agent for all fibers and blends. The product is exhaustible.

FILASTAT BAP Anionic antistatic agent for all fibers. Provides excellent antistatic properties.
