TRANSCRIPT
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the late Dr. Dennis Coughlin Jr., an orthopedic surgeon in Knoxville, Tennessee, and his family for their continued financial support, namely, “The Coughlin Endowment” in memory of Dr. Dennis Coughlin Sr. (1890-1954).
The Coughlin Endowment provides funding for the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine Continuing Education Annual Conference for Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians. UTCVM is very grateful that Dr. Coughlin’s family provides this means to honor his father, Dr. Dennis Coughlin Sr.
The senior Dr. Coughlin’s illustrious career included veterinary practice with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and as president of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association from 1940-1941. A native of South Dakota, he completed his veterinary degree in 1916 at Kansas City Veterinary College in Kansas City, Missouri. During his career in the Tennessee area, he met and married Esther Brackin, a member of the University of Tennessee faculty.
UTCVM is grateful for the support of the Coughlin Endowment.

How will a *Virtual* conference work?
